Emoni Bates Leaves Eastern Michigan For NBA Draft

Former top overall recruit Emoni Bates has entered the 2023 NBA Draft as an Early Entry Candidate. Bates began his college career at the University of Memphis before transferring and playing his sophomore season at Eastern Michigan.

With the Eagles, Bates averaged 19.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He started all 30 games for Eastern Michigan this season after playing in 18 games with 13 starts as a freshman at Memphis.

Bates is projected to go in the second round in most mock drafts. He will be one of the younger players in the 2023 draft, as Bates only turned 19 in late-January of this year.

Victor Wembanyama Officially Declares For 2023 NBA Draft

Victor Wembanyama officially declared for the 2023 NBA draft on Friday and has submitted paperwork to the league office.

"Declaring for the draft ... it's something crazy I'm not realizing yet," Wembanyama told ESPN. "I realized pretty young I wanted to play in the NBA but it becomes a reality more every day. I'm so lucky to have this dream within the reach of my hand."

Wembanyama is in the midst of a historic season in France, averaging 21.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 2.3 assists per game.

James Nnaji Enters 2023 NBA Draft

James Nnaji declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday, his agent told Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

The 18-year-old is currently ranked the No. 24 prospect in ESPN's Top 100.

Nnaji is currently averaging nine minutes a game for Barcelona.

A potential challenge for Nnaji is Barcelona's schedule extending past the June draft depending how the far team goes in its competitions.

Bilal Coulibaly Declares For NBA Draft

French wing Bilal Coulibaly has declared as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2023 NBA Draft. Coulibaly is projected to be a late-first-round selection in June's draft.

The 6-foot-6 wing has played for Metropolitans 92 in France this season, as a teammate with projected first overall pick Victor Wembanyama. Coulibaly has used the increased exposure to increase his draft stock this season.

The 18-year-old will be one of the younger players eligible for this year's draft. In 39 games between his club's senior and junior teams, Coulibaly has averaged 11.5 points on 54/35/72 shooting splits, to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

UCLA freshman Adem Bona declared for the NBA Draft on Wednesday.

Bona will maintain his college eligibility.

Bona is currently ranked the No. 45 prospect in the ESPN 100.

Bona had surgery on a shoulder labrum tear in early April. The injury will prevent him from conducting individual workouts.

Rayan Rupert Declares For NBA Draft

French wing Rayan Rupert has declared as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2023 NBA Draft. Rupert will turn 19 years old ahead of the draft in June.

The 6-foot-6 wing played this season for the New Zealand Breakers in Australia's NBL. Rupert averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 rebound in 18.1 minutes per game. His season was impacted by a broken wrist on his shooting hand that he suffered in November.

Rupert is projected to be a mid-first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Some mock drafts have him being selected in the late-lottery, while others have him being selected in the early-20s.

Jackson will maintain his college eligibility.

Jackson could be a potential first-round pick, team executives told Wojnarowski.

Jackson plans to participate in mid-May's draft combine. He will have until May 31 to make a decision on whether to stay in the draft or return to college.

UCLA freshman Amari Bailey entered the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday.

Bailey will not be returning to college, according to his mother, Johanna Leia.

"He is not testing the waters. He's full-fledged in declaring for the draft," said Leia.

Bailey, who came into the season as the No. 5 recruit in his class, is currently ranked as the No. 42 prospect in the draft by ESPN.

Adama Sanogo plans to enter the NBA draft after leading UConn to the NCAA championship.

Sanogo is maintaining his college eligibility but is focused on staying in the draft.

"I am so excited for the next stop on my journey and proud to announce that I will declare for the 2023 NBA draft and will stay focused on the process and giving myself every chance to hear my name called. I will always cherish my time at UConn and will always be my home away from home."

Sanogo is ranked No. 87 in ESPN's 2023 NBA draft rankings, slotting in as the No. 9 center in the draft.
