Isaiah Collier New No. 1 Pick In ESPN Mock Draft

USC guard Isaiah Collier is the new number one overall pick in ESPN's updated mock 2024 NBA Draft. Collier tops a field made up of NCAA players, overseas players and G League Ignited prospects.

Through his first seven games with the Trojans, Collier has averaged 17.7 points and 4.3 assists. The 6-foot-5 point guard is shooting an impressive 53.9% from the field, including 42.1% on three-pointers.

Behind Collier, ESPN's top-five includes Alex Sarr of the Perth Wildcats in Australia, Zaccharie Risacher of JL Bourg in France, Ja'Kobe Walter of Baylor and Ron Holland of G League Ignite.

Jahlil Okafor To Join Zhejiang Guangsha In China

Former NBA player Jahlil Okafor is headed to China. The Zhejiang Guangsha Lions paid a release clause to Casademont Zaragoza in Spain to facilitate the move.

Okafor last played in the NBA in 2021 with the Detroit Pistons. The former third overall pick previously played for Zhejiang Guangsha during the 2021-22 season. Okafor then spent part of the 2022-23 season in the G League, before moving to Spain for the first part of this season.

In 13 games with Zaragoza, Okafor had averaged 11.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. In his previous stint in China, the 27-year-old center averaged 13.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game.

Filip Petrusev, Olympiacos Agree To Three-Year Deal

Filip Petrusev is set to sign a three-year deal with Olympiacos in Greece. Petrusev was recently waived by the Sacramento Kings. Sacramento had acquired Petrusev from the LA Clippers, who had acquired him as part of the deal for James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Gonzaga product's deal in Greece reportedly includes NBA outs. There is also a release clause after the 2024-25 season in the contract.

Petrusev was drafted by the Sixers in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. He appeared in one game for Philadelphia and two games for Sacramento before being waived.

The 6-foot-11 center will now return to Europe with Olympiacos. Petrusev has previously played for clubs in Serbia and Turkey in his three-year professional career.

The 2023-24 NCAA basketball season tips off on Monday. However, non-collegiate players top ESPN's 2024 NBA Draft prospect rankings.

Six of the top-10 prospects are playing for the G League Ignite or overseas teams. Ron Holland (#1 overall), Matas Buzelis (#6 overall) and Izan Almansa (#9 overall) are all playing for the Ignite this season. They are joined by Australia's Alex Sarr (#2 overall), France's Zaccharie Risacher (#5 overall) and Serbia's Nikola Topic (#10 overall) in the top-10.

The top ranked collegiate players are Isaiah Collier of USC (#3 overall), Justin Edwards of Kentucky (#4 overall) and Connecticut's Donovan Clingan (#7 overall) and Stephon Castle (#8 overall).

World Cup Standout Carlik Jones Signs In China

Former NBA guard and 2024 FIBA World Cup standout, Carlik Jones has signed in China for this season. Jones is joining the Zhejiang Golden Bulls.

Jones appeared in 12 games over the last two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls.

While playing for South Sudan at the World Cup, Jones had a breakout performance for one of the tournament's surprise teams. The guard averaged 20.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 10.4 assists and 1.2 steals over five games.
