The Bakersfield Jam have acquired rookie forward Cam Tatum from the Iowa Energy in exchange for guard Mustapha Farrakhan.

A Lithonia, GA native, Tatum finished his Tennessee career ranked second on the school’s all-time games played list (138), 10th on the list for 3-pointers made (155) and 41st on UT’s career scoring list (1,083 points). He is one of only eight Vols ever to log at least 1,000 points, 400 rebounds and 200 assists in a career.

As a senior last season, Tatum averaged 8.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce have acquired forward Mike Davis from the Erie BayHawks in exchange for center Keith Benson and guard Nick Covington. Davis was acquired by Erie from the Reno Bighorns in a separate trade earlier today.

Selected fifth overall in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft, Davis averaged 9.3 points and 6.6 rebounds in four seasons (138 games) at the University of Illinois. The 6-9, 225-pound forward earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors after averaging 12.5 points and 7.1 rebounds as a senior.

The Texas Legends acquired guard Solomon Bozeman in exchange for forward Anthony Vereen.

Bozeman (6’1”, 175) was selected in the sixth round of the NBA D-League Draft with the 86th overall pick. Bozeman spent part of the 2011 - 2012 season with the Austin Toros averaging 8 points and 3 assists.

Vereen was the Legends only player to appear in all 50 games last season. He averaged 9.7 points and 4.2 rebounds during the 2011-2012 season.

The Springfield Armor have acquired guard Ben Uzoh from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for forward Tim Ohlbrecht.

“I’m extremely excited about Ben joining our organization,” said Armor head coach Bob MacKinnon. “Getting a lead guard of his caliber, someone who we feel is a definite NBA Call-Up prospect, is a tremendous accomplishment for our organization. I think the fans in Springfield will be very excited to welcome Ben back.”

Uzoh (6-3, 205, Tulsa) joins the Armor after being waived by the Denver Nuggets during the preseason.

The Bakersfield Jam have acquired guard Jerel McNeal (6’3”, 200, Marquette) from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for James Anderson (Affiliate player).

McNeal, former NBA D-League All-Star, played and started in 47 games for the Vipers during the 2010-11 season, averaging 19.4 points on .458 shooting with 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 34.4 minutes per game. Most recently, McNeal attended the Toronto Raptors 2012 training camp.

During the 2011-12 season, McNeal played in 32 games for the Sutor Montegranaro (Italy-SerieA) and averaged 10.7 points, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 25.3 minutes per game.
