Tyler Johnson was active for Game 5 but served as an emergency option and did not play. He will be active and part of the rotation for the Miami Heat.

Johnson had surgery to repair the rotator cuff in his left shoulder on February 3 and has not played in a game since January 26.

He averaged 8.7 points, 2.2 assists and 3 rebounds in 36 games for Miami this season.

Chris Bosh addressed the Miami Heat on Friday as the playoffs are about to begin.

Bosh has been out since the All-Star break due to blood clots.

"Chris talked today to us, as a team," Dwyane Wade. "The biggest message is someone who lived for this moment, someone who envisioned these moments especially after last year, he doesn't have the ability to be in it."

Wade did not reveal everything Bosh said but quoted him as saying, "You guys have an opportunity to be out in the playoffs ... what I wouldn't do to be out there."

Dorell Wright has signed with the Miami Heat.

Wright played in China this season and was last in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Wright had to be signed prior to the Heat's final regular-season game, Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden, in order to qualify for the playoff roster.

The Miami Heat plan on signing Briante Weber to a three-year deal.

The deal is partially guaranteed after this season.

Weber played for Sioux Falls, Miami's D-League affiliate, this season. For the D-League season, Weber averaged 10.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

Weber joined the Memphis Grizzlies on a 10-day contract in March and was placed into a starting role, averaging 4.8 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 27.7 minutes per game.

The Miami Heat and Dorell Wright are meeting on a possible deal.

Wright has spent time in Miami after finishing the Chinese Basketball Association season.

Wright spent six seasons for the Heat after becoming the 19th overall pick in 2004.

Wright signed in China after being unable to find a guaranteed NBA deal in free agency last summer. He averaged 24.3 points and 7.5 rebounds for Beijing.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Richardson have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for March.

Towns led all qualified rookies in rebounding (10.5 rpg), field goal accuracy (58.2%) and PER (23.8), while ranking second in scoring (21.9 ppg), blocked shots (1.33 bpg) and minutes played (35.9 mpg) in March.

Richardson led all rookies during March in plus/minus (+66), steals per game (1.13), three-point field goals made (33), field goal percentage (.532) and three-point field goal percentage (.589). He averaged 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 15 games.

The Miami Heat plan on using their two open roster spots between April 9th and April 13th once they won't pass the tax threshold. 

The Heat are considering Dorell Wright, Briante Weber and John Lucas III, amongst other players.

Miami would like to sign one established player and one developmental player.
