Cooper Flagg Commits To Duke

Cooper Flagg has committed to Duke University. Flagg is considered the likely top overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Flagg is a 6-foot-9 forward. The Maine native is finishing his high school career at Montverde Academy, which has produced dozens of NBA draft picks over the past decade. Flagg reclassified to graduate high school in 2024, so that he could attend college a year early.

In 2022, Flagg was a part of the United States gold medal team at the U17 World Cup. Flagg averaged 9.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.9 blocks as a 15-year-old.

Five-star prospect Asa Newell announced his commitment to Georgia on Wednesday.

Newell is ranked as the No. 11 prospect in ESPN's 100 for the 2024 class.

"I believe in Coach White and what he is doing with the program. I am confident in him, and he is with me that we can turn this program around. He holds his players accountable but is positive about it," said Newell.

Newell is just the second five-star recruit for Georgia since 2007.

Five-Star Prospect Boogie Fland Commits To Kentucky

Five-star guard Boogie Fland committed to Kentucky on Friday, choosing the Wildcats over Indiana.

Indiana was reportedly the front runner for Fland before Kentucky finished strong with a late visit.

"The visit played a big part in my decision. It was fantastic. It blew me away. The setup there is incredible; the gym is right next to the housing lodge. My host was D.J. Wagner. We played USA Basketball together and bonded," said Fland. 

Fland is ranked No. 18 in ESPN's 100 for the 2024 class.

Duke, Jon Scheyer Agree To Extension Through 2028-29 Season

Jon Scheyer signed a six-year contract extension at Duke that will take him through the 2028-29 season, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 36-year-old won an ACC tournament championship in his first season as Duke head coach.

Duke has had back-to-back No. 1 recruiting classes under Scheyer.

Trent Perry announced his commitment to USC, choosing the Trojans over Stanford, Gonzaga, Oregon, Colorado, and TCU.

Perry is currently ranked the No. 42 prospect in the ESPN 100 for the 2024 class.

"It's close to home and the coaches really believe in me and my game. The competition inside the Big Ten is going to be great. I love that challenge. I believe USC cannot only make me be a better player, but person, as well," said Perry.

Five-Star Prospect Liam McNeeley Commits To Indiana

Five-star prospect Liam McNeeley announced his commitment to Indiana on Sunday, choosing the Hoosiers over Kansas.

McNeeley is currently ranked as the No. 13 prospect in the ESPN 100 for 2024.

"My goal is winning a national championship, to be drafted and play in the NBA. I believe his experience can help me attain those goals. I am also excited to learn from coach Calbert Cheaney, who is now on staff. Their plan is to have me in spots to utilize my versatility and have me involved in ball screens and coming off screens," McNeeley told ESPN.

McNeeley currently attends Montverde Academy in Florida.

Jase Richardson announced his commitment to Michigan State over the weekend, choosing the Spartans over Alabama and Cincinnati.

Richardson is the son of former Spartan Jason Richardson.

"From the moment I stepped on campus for my official visit there was a real connection with the players and coaches. It felt like family. I remember my first visit to Michigan State, I was 7 years old. It was my dad's reunion on winning the national championship," Richardson told ESPN.

Richardson is currently ranked the No. 28 prospect in the ESPN 100 for 2024.

Aaron Bradshaw Out 5-6 Weeks Following Foot Surgery

Kentucky centers Aaron Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso are expected to miss "another five, six weeks" after undergoing offseason foot surgery.

Bradshaw, the No. 6 recruit in ESPN's top 100 for the 2023 class, was injured during the McDonald's All-American Game.

Kentucky are set to open the season against New Mexico State on November 6.

Croatian center Zvonimir Ivisic is set to join Kentucky on Thursday.

Rakease Passmore committed to Kansas on Wednesday.

Passmore, ranked No. 52 by ESPN in the 2024 class, chose the Jayhawks over Oklahoma and LSU.

"Kansas was special to me because of the coaching staff, the way they win and the way they buy into their players. The plan for me is to come in and make an impact from day one, while getting better at things I can improve at on the court," Passmore told ESPN.

Kansas now has three top-60 commitments for the 2024 class.

Mikey Williams To Stand Trial On Felony Gun Charges

A judge ordered Memphis recruit Mikey Williams to stand trial on six felony gun charges.

Williams, who has been free on $50,000 bond since April, will be arraigned on October 24.

Williams currently faces five charges of assault with a weapon and faces up to 28 years in prison.

Williams has pled not guilty to the charges.
