Pistons Convert Jamorko Pickett To Two-Way Contract

The Detroit Pistons have converted Jamorko Pickett to a Two-Way contract. Pickett had originally signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with Detroit.

The 6'8'' Pickett went undrafted out of Georgetown at the 2021 NBA Draft. He then played in Summer League for the Pistons before signing his original deal. He averaged 9.8 points on 54.5% shooting in Las Vegas.

Pickett was a four-year starter for the Hoyas. As a senior, he averaged 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

The forward now fills the Two-Way spot that was opened when Detroit converted Luka Garza from his Two-Way deal to a standard contract. Pickett joins Chris Smith as the Pistons Two-Way players this season.

Trail Blazers Re-sign Keljin Blevins To Two-Way Contract

The Portland Trail Blazers have re-signed Keljin Blevins to a Two-Way contract. Blevins played season with the Blazers as a Two-Way player.

After going undrafted out of Montana State in 2019, Blevins spent training camp with the Trail Blazers. He then played for the Northern Arizona Suns in the G League in 2019-20.

Blevins spent the entirety of the 2020-21 season with Portland. The 6'6'' wing appeared in 17 NBA games. As Portland does not have a G League affiliate, Blevins did not take part in the G League bubble.

Blevins is a cousin of Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard.

Pelicans Add Zylan Cheatham, Jared Harper To Camp Roster

The New Orleans Pelicans have signed Zylan Cheatham and Jared Harper to fill out their camp roster. Both players were signed to non-guaranteed training camp deals.

Cheatham played for New Orleans during the 2019-20 season on a Two-Way contract. He was then part of a complicated sign-and-trade deal with the Milwaukee Bucks and Oklahoma City Thunder that saw Jrue Holiday land with the Bucks and Steven Adams and Eric Bledsoe with the Pelicans.

Cheatham was then waived by Oklahoma City and spent 2020 training camp with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He then played for the Iowa Wolves in the G League bubble. Cheatham averaged 10.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in the bubble.

Harper was with the New York Knicks on a Two-Way contract last season. He played only 16 minutes over NBA games in 2020-21. In the G League bubble, Harper scored 21.3 points and dished out 6.9 assists per game.

The Sacramento Kings have signed guard Matt Coleman III to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. Coleman went undrafted at the 2021 NBA Draft out of Texas.

In five Las Vegas Summer League contests, Coleman averaged 6.6 points, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 13 minutes per game.

Coleman was a four-year starter for the Longhorns, as he started all 128 games he played in. As a senior, the 6'2'' point guard averaged 13.2 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Bucks Waive Mamadi Diakite, Sign Javin DeLaurier

The Milwaukee Bucks waived forward Mamadi Diakite. Diakite's contract was partially guaranteed for $100,000. That amount will go on the Bucks cap sheet, unless Diakite is claimed off waivers.

Diakite started his rookie season with Milwaukee on a Two-Way contract. His deal was converted to a standard contract in late-April.

In 14 NBA appearances (one start), Diakite averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game. In the G League Bubble, Diakite averaged 18.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game for the Lakeland Magic. The Bucks did not field a G League team during the 2020-21 season.

The Bucks also signed Javin DeLaurier to a training camp contract. DeLaurier went undrafted out of Duke at the 2020 NBA Draft. He then attended training camp with the Charlotte Hornets before playing for the Greensboro Swarm in the G League Bubble. DeLaurier also spent part of the 2020-21 season playing professionally in Canada for the Niagara River Lions.

Knicks Sign Wayne Selden To Camp Deal

The New York Knicks have signed guard Wayne Selden to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. Selden last played in the NBA in 2018-19 with the Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Bulls.

Selden spent the 2019-20 season with the South Bay Lakers of the G League and played in Israel during the 2020-21 season. The 6'5'' guard out of Kansas has also played for the New Orleans Pelicans in addition to the Grizzlies and Bulls in the NBA.

At 2021 Las Vegas Summer League, Selden averaged 6.7 points in six games for the Knicks.

O.J. Mayo, Jarrell Brantley Sign With BC UNICS In Russia

O.J. Mayo will continue his basketball career outside of the United States for a third straight year. Mayo has signed with BC UNICS in Kazan, Russia.

In 2019-20 and 2020-21, Mayo played for Liaoning in China. He averaged 24.9 points in 68 games over the two CBA seasons.

Mayo hasn't played in the NBA since the 2015-16 season with the Milwaukee Bucks. Following that season, Mayo was suspended for two seasons due to violating the NBA's substance abuse policy.

BC UNICS also agreed to terms with Jarrell Brantley. Brantley spent the last two seasons with the Utah Jazz on Two-Way contract. In 37 NBA games, Brantley averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game.

Brantley was recently waived by Utah, after he had previously signed the team's qualifying offer. Brantley agreed to amend his contract to remove a small guaranteed amount, in order to sign with BC UNICS.

Jimmer Fredette, Noah Vonleh Sign With Shanghai Sharks

Former NBA players Jimmer Fredette and Noah Vonleh have signed with the Shanghai Sharks for the 2021-22 season. This will Fredette's fifth season with the Sharks and Vonleh's first season in Shanghai.

Fredette has played with Shanghai from 2016-17 through 2018-19. He returned to the Sharks for the 2020-21 season after playing for Panathinaikos in Greece in 2019-20.

In 174 games for Shanghai, Fredette has averaged 34.1 points per game. He's also become a fan favorite with his high-scoring games and deep shooting range. Fredette briefly returned to the NBA, with the Phoenix Suns, at the end of the 2018-19 season, after the CBA season ended.

Vonleh played in four regular season game for the Brooklyn Nets during the 2020-21 season. In seven NBA seasons, Vonleh has averaged 4.9 points and 5.1 rebounds over 339 games played.

Fredette and Vonleh will team with another former NBAer, Jamaal Franklin, on the Sharks. Both Fredette and Vonleh remain NBA free agents and will be free to sign an NBA contract when the CBA season completes.

Wolves Sign 2020 First Round Pick Leandro Bolmaro

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed 2020 first round pick Leandro Bolmaro. Bolmaro signed his rookie scale contract a year after spending the 2020-21 season with Barcelona in Spain.

The 21-year-old guard averaged 4.9 points in 13.1 minutes over 75 games in various European competitions last season. Bolmaro has also logged time with the Argentinian national team, including at the Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2021.

The New York Knicks drafted the 6'7'' combo guard with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The Wolves later acquired Bolmaro's draft rights in a pre-arranged trade with the Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder. It's expected that Bolmaro will compete for a rotation spot for Minnesota this season, while also likely logging some developmental time with Iowa of the G-League.

The Miami Heat have signed Micah Potter, Ja'Vonte Smart and Dru Smith to training camp deals. All three contracts are non-guaranteed.

Potter went undrafted out of Wisconsin at the 2021 NBA Draft. The 6'10'' center started his career at Ohio State before finishing his final two seasons with the Badgers. As a senior, Potter averaged 12.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He had shooting splits of 50/39/84 in his final collegiate season.

Smart was an Early Entry candidate in 2019, 2020 and 2021. He stayed in the draft in 2021, but went undrafted out of LSU. The 6'4'' guard was a three-year starter for the Tigers. As a junior, Smart averaged 16 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He also upped his shooting splits to 46/40/86 in his final year in college.

Smith went undrafted out of Missouri at the 2021 NBA Draft. The 6'3'' point guard started his college career at Evansville before transferring to Missouri for his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Smith averaged 14.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game.

All three players are likely to become Affiliate Players for the Heat's G-League team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
