Giannis Antetkounmpo will become eligible for a supermax contract extension next offseason, which will be a crossroads for both his career individually and the Milwaukee Bucks as a franchise.

Antetkounmpo vows to wait until the 2020 offseason to address

"I’m not going to talk about it a lot this season and I’m not going to try to address it,” said Antetkounmpo. 

The Bucks have already said they will offer Antetkounmpo the supermax and they subsequently received a fine by the NBA.

"I feel like if you have a great team, and our goal is to win a championship and be the last team standing and get better each day, I think it's disrespectful towards my teammates talking about my free agency and what I'm going through," Antetokounmpo said. "So, when the time is right, we're all gonna talk about it. I don't think the time is right."

The Portland Trail Blazers have signed forward Keljin Blevins to a training camp contract.

Blevins, 23, appeared in three games for the Trail Blazers during the 2019 NBA Summer League, totaling five points, three rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes. Undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, Blevins (6-6, 200) played two seasons at The University of Southern Mississippi (2014-16) before transferring to Montana State. In his four-year collegiate career, Blevins posted averages of 7.6 points (39.9% FG, 23.4% 3-PT, 64.5% FT), 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 23.3 minutes in 117 games (99 starts). He averaged 11.8 points and 5.9 rebounds as a senior at Montana State in 2018-19.

JaMychal Green passed on more lucrative contract offers from several teams as a free agent and decided to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Green started as a floor-stretching center against the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs following his midseason acquisition from the Memphis Grizzlies.

After he agreed to sign with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard reached out to Green in an attempt to get him to re-sign.

The Orlando Magic have rebuffed any trade inquiries they have received on Jonathan Isaac.

Isaac is beloved by the Magic front office and has become a standard-bearer for the type of culture Jeff Weltman and John Hammond want to develop for the franchise.

Isaac was the sixth overall pick in 2017.

Erik Spoelstra and the Miami Heat have agreed to a long-term contract extension that takes him through the 2024-25 season, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Spoelstra is beginning his 12th season as head coach of the Heat, replacing Pat Riley in 2008. 

He is the second-longest-tenured active head coach after Gregg Popovich.

Spoelstra had just one season remaining on his existing deal.

Masai Ujiri said that he plans on signing Pascal Siakam to a long-term deal, whether it be before the start of this season or heading into next summer.

"Whether it's going to be this fall or this summer, he's definitely someone we're going to keep here (long-term)," said Ujiri.

Siakam, who will make $2.35 million next season, is eligible for an extension before October 21st. 

Siakam's camp is reportedly looking to sign a max extension worth $170 million over five years, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.

The NBA has sent a memo to all 30 teams with official guidelines on tampering as they attempt to clean up the issue following the 2019 offseason.

Here are several key points, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic:

- Conduct from player inducing another player to demand trade will be violative of tampering.

- Isolated comments by team official praising another player will no longer be regarded as violation.

- The NBA will not confiscate phones or computers during its five random audits.

- The NBA will also create a hotline to allow teams and others with information to anonymously report potential violations.

The NBA has prohibited Spencer Dinwiddie from using his contract as a digital investment vehicle.

Dinwiddie had planned to convert part of his three-year, $34.4 million contract into an investment and potentially realize profits in 2021 when he is expected to become a free agent again.

“According to recent reports, Spencer Dinwiddie intends to sell investors a ‘tokenized security’ that will be backed by his player contract. The described arrangement is prohibited by the C.B.A., which provides that ‘no player shall assign or otherwise transfer to any third party his right to receive compensation from the team under his uniform player contract.’ ”

Dinwiddie hoped to raise between $4.95 million to $13.5 million. The minimum investment was to have been $150,000.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived guard Markel Brown.

The Oklahoma State product was originally signed on Sept. 24.

The Orlando Magic have signed free agent guard B.J. Johnson.

Johnson (6’7”, 200, 12/21/95) played in seven games last season during his rookie campaign with both Atlanta and Sacramento, averaging 3.3 ppg. and 1.1 rpg. in 7.0 minpg. He also appeared in 39 games (32 starts) with Lakeland of the NBA G League, averaging 15.4 ppg., 5.1 rpg., 1.4 apg. and 1.41 stlpg. in 29.8 minpg., while shooting .444 (76-171) from three-point range and .841 (95-113) from the free throw line.

Johnson appeared in 56 career games (55 starts) in two seasons (2016-18) with La Salle University, averaging 19.1 ppg., 7.3 rpg. and 1.21 stlpg. in 33.8 minpg. During his senior campaign with the Explorers (2017-18), he played and started in 27 games, averaging 20.8 ppg., 8.3 rpg. and 1.30 stlpg. in 35.2 minpg., while shooting .869 (126-145) from the free throw line. Johnson was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference in 2017-18. He also played in 35 career games during two seasons (2013-15) at Syracuse University, averaging 3.4 ppg. and 2.5 rpg. in 12.0 minpg.
