The Los Angeles Lakers will waive DeAndre Jordan to sign DJ Augustin.

The Lakers wanted to add a veteran point guard with shooting ability to back up Russell Westbrook.

 The San Antonio Spurs have waived guard Tomas Satoransky. Satoransky will sign with the Washington Wizards once he clears waivers.

Satoranský appeared in one game with the Spurs. He was acquired from Portland, along with a 2027 second round pick from Utah, in a three-team deal with the Trail Blazers and Jazz on Feb. 9.

The Portland Trail Blazers will waive Dennis Smith Jr., who is out for three to four weeks with a partial tear in the UCL of his elbow.

Smith averaged 5.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 17.2 minutes over 37 games with the Blazers this season.

The transaction will allow the Blazers to sign Trendon Watford to a four-year, $5.8 million deal.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived point guard Kevin Pangos. Pangos joined the Cavs this offseason after playing the first six seasons of his career overseas.

Multiple reports from Europe say that Pangos has an agreement to sign with CSKA Moscow after he clears waivers in the NBA. That'll be a return to Russia for the Gonzaga product, as Pangos previously played for Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Pangos has also played for top clubs in Spain and Lithuania.

In playing for the Cavaliers, Pangos fulfilled a personal goal of making it to the NBA. As one of the top guards in Europe, Pangos had stated he hoped to eventually make the jump to the NBA.

As for Cleveland, they'll now have an open roster spot. That could allow the Cavs to add veteran help for their young roster, as they pursue a playoff run.

The Chicago Bulls have been looking for additional frontcourt depth behind Nikola Vucevic and landed it via the buyout market. Veteran center Tristan Thompson has joined Chicago for the stretch run.

Thompson was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Indiana Pacers leading up to the trade deadline. He appeared in four games for the Pacers, but took a buyout to join a contender. After spending the first nine years of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bulls will be Thompson's fourth team in the last two seasons.

In order to make room for Thompson, Chicago waived wing Alfonzo McKinnie. McKinnie signed a two-year contract with the Bulls in late-December. Chicago now has just over $1 million in dead money on their books for McKinnie for the remainder of this season.

After playing well on COVID-related hardship 10-day deals, the Bulls signed McKinnie to a two-year, veteran minimum deal. In 17 games with Chicago, McKinnie averaged 3.5 points per game.

When the San Antonio Spurs acquired Goran Dragic at last week's trade deadline, it was expected the veteran's stay in San Antonio would be a short one. Less than a week after the deadline, the Spurs and Dragic have agreed to a contract buyout.

Multiple teams are expected to pursue Dragic's services when he clears waivers. He's been linked to several playoff contenders, most recently the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.

Dragic played in just five games for the Toronto Raptors this season, after being a part of the sign-and-trade that sent Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat. In his last full season with the Heat, Dragic averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 assists in 26.7 minutes per game, mostly off of Miami's bench.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived forward KZ Okpala.

Okpala was acquired from the Miami Heat on Feb. 9, 2022. 

The Phoenix Suns waived Abdel Nader to complete a trade deadline deal with the Washington Wizards. The Suns acquired Aaron Holiday via the Dario Saric Disabled Player Exception before the deadline.

Because that exception is a cap exception and not a roster exception, Phoenix had to waive a player to fit Holiday on the roster. Given Nader's long-term absence due to injury, he was the choice.

Phoenix will carry $2 million in dead money for Nader for the remainder of this season. If Nader is claimed off waivers, that amount will come off of Phoenix's books.

The Suns also early-terminated the 10-day hardship contract for Justin Jackson, as a part of the deadline moves.

The Houston Rockets waived guards D.J. Augustin and Armoni Brooks. Houston had to make these waivers to complete their 3-for-1 trade with the Boston Celtics. The Rockets acquired Dennis Schroder, Bruno Fernando and Enes Freedom, while sending Daniel Theis to the Celtics.

Houston will have $7 million in dead money on their books for Augustin for this season, as well as $333,333 for next season, Augustin had a partial guarantee for 2022-23.

Brooks comes a dead money hit of $1.5 million for this season. The Rockets also waived Freedom following the deal and have $1.7 million on their cap sheet for him for this year.

If any of the three players are claimed off waivers, their cap hits will clear off Houston's ledger.

The Portland Trail Blazers have waived Cody Zeller in order to clear a roster spot for the CJ McCollum trade.

The Blazers acquired four players while sending out three.

Zeller underwent surgery on his right knee in January and was expected to miss most of the remainder of the season.
