Chris Webber, Tracy McGrady Headline Hall Of Fame Finalists

Chris Webber is among the finalists for the Basketball Hall of Fame class.

Webber played 15 seasons with five franchises and also headlined Michigan's Fab Five for two seasons.

"I don't know what I'm most proud of," said Webber, who averaged 20.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in his career and was a five-time NBA All-Star. "I'm proud to be in the room with all these great individuals."

Other first-time Hall of Fame finalists include longtime referee Hugh Evans, Connecticut star Rebecca Lobo, two-time NBA scoring champion Tracy McGrady, five-time All-Star Sidney Moncrief, Baylor women's coach Kim Mulkey, Kansas coach Bill Self, Rollie Massimino and two-time NBA champion coach Rudy Tomjanovich.

"I still can't believe I'm here," McGrady said. "This is not even a dream come true."

Inductees will be announced at the Final Four on April 3.

Blake Griffin, LeBron James Named Players Of The Week

Blake Griffin has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb. 12. LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers was the Eastern Conference winner.

Griffin won his sixth career Player of the Week award by helping the Clippers to a 2-1 week behind averages of 26.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists in 35.7 minutes. He posted his fifth career triple-double on Feb. 6 at Toronto and scored a team season-high 32 points in New York on Feb. 8. Griffin shot 49.2 percent from the field for the week, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, and totaled 24 assists and only three turnovers.

Isaiah Thomas, Stephen Curry Named Players Of The Week

Isaiah Thomas and Stephen Curry have been named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Thomas led the Celtics to a 4-0 week as Boston extended its winning streak to seven games.  He averaged an NBA-best 37.8 points (on 49.4 percent shooting from the field) to go with 6.8 assists.  His week featured back-to-back games of at least 40 points, with the first coming on Jan. 30, when he scored 24 of his 41 points in the fourth quarter in a 113-109 win over the Detroit Pistons.  Two days later, he finished with 44 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter, to lift the Celtics past the Toronto Raptors 109-104.

Curry led the Warriors to a 2-1 week, pacing the West in scoring (34.3 ppg) and steals (3.0 spg) and ranking second in assists (9.3 apg).  He shot 57.1 percent from the field and hit 22-of-39 (56.4 percent) from three-point range.  Curry began the week by making 11-of-15 from three-point range on his way to 39 points in a 126-111 victory against the Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 1.  The next day, he scored 29 points and matched a season high with 11 assists in a 133-120 win over the LA Clippers.

Joel Embiid and Marquese Chriss have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for January.

Embiid averaged 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 27 minutes per game in nine January games. Embiid has won the award each month this season, and he leads all rookies in scoring, rebounding and blocks per game. 

Chriss averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals for the month.

Isaiah Thomas has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for January while Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry share the award for the Western Conference.

Thomas ranked second in the NBA in PER for the month of January at 29.9, while Durant ranked fourth at 29.1.

Scott Brooks and Steve Kerr have been named the NBA's Coaches of the Month for January.

The Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards had the best records in January at 12-2 and 12-4 respectively.

Washington was a perfect 7-0 at home during the month and posted the most overall wins in the Eastern Conference.
