The NBA has announced that the NBA G League Ignite will cease operations after the current season. The league said that "the decision to end the program comes amid the changing basketball landscape, including the NCAA’s Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) policy and the advent of collectives and the transfer portal."

Nine Ignite veterans are currently in the NBA, including key contributors Dyson Daniels (New Orleans Pelicans), Jalen Green (Houston Rockets), Scoot Henderson (Portland Trail Blazers) and 2022 NBA champion Jonathan Kuminga (Golden State Warriors).

“Four years ago, we started Ignite to fill a void in the basketball landscape, and I’m proud of the contributions we were able to make to that ecosystem,” said Sharif Abdur-Rahim.  “With the changing environment across youth and collegiate basketball, now is the right time to take this step.  I want to extend my sincere gratitude to general manager Anthony McClish, head coach Jason Hart and their staff and to each player who wore an Ignite jersey.  As ever, the G League’s commitment to developing top NBA talent and helping players achieve their NBA dreams is unwavering.”

The Los Angeles Clippers will relocate its G League team to Oceanside, California starting in the 2024-25 season, the team announced on Monday.

The G League team will also rebrand as the San Diego Clippers and play at the Frontwave Arena.

“We are proud to re-introduce the San Diego Clippers into this passionate sports market. Our G League team is a critical part of our business and basketball operation, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the new Frontwave Arena next season," said Halo Sports and Entertainment CEO Gillian Zucker.

The Clippers played in the San Diego area from 1978-1984. 

Isaiah Thomas signed with the G League's Salt Lake City Stars, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Thomas last appeared in 22 NBA games during the 2021-22 season.

Justin Champagnie was named G League Player of the Month for February. Champagnie played for both the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Capital City Go-Go in February. At the end of the month, he was called up to the Washington Wizards.

Champagnie averaged 26.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists while going 6-2 for both the Skyforce and Go-Go.

The New York Knicks signed Jacob Toppin to a two-way contract ahead of Monday's deadline to sign two-way deals. Toppin recently finished a 10-day contract with New York.

Toppin has played 37 minutes in eight NBA appearances for the Knicks this season. In 32 G League games, Toppin has averaged 17.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

The Rip City Remix acquired Kevin Knox on Friday night.

Knox was most recently waived by the Jazz following a trade from the Pistons.

Knox averaged 7.2 points in 18.1 minutes with the Pistons on the season.

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to sign Jamaree Bouyea to a Two-Way deal. 

Bouyea appeared in six games with the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this season.

In 22 G League games this season, Bouyea is averaging 18.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists in 39.1 minutes.

Bouyea is represented by Jason Glushon and Paolo Zamorano.
