"They really have a genuine care for him and the family. They care for him, not only as a player, but as a person. That's really big for us as a family and for him as a player."

Players will be allowed to withdraw from the draft as late as October 10th, though that deadline is mostly for international players and athletes who have forfeited their NCAA eligibility.

Saddiq Bey will remain in the 2020 NBA Draft and sign with Excel Sports Management.

Executives and scouts see Bey's potential as a 3-and-D player in the pros. Bey is currently the No. 18 ranked prospect in the draft.

"This has been a pivotal time in our country and honestly not how I imagined the last few months playing out," Bey told ESPN in a statement. "Between the pandemic and national outcry against racial injustice, it has given me a lot of time to think and gain perspective outside of basketball. Warriors Likely To Take Anthony Edwards If They Get First Pick

Jun 7, 2020 12:52 PM

The Golden State Warriors are likely to take Anthony Edwards if they get the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and do not trade it, according to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Warriors have other players on the board, including Tyrese Haliburton, Isaac Okoro, and Deni Avdija, should they land between picks No. 2 through No. 5.

"Sources have indicated to The Chronicle that if the Warriors land the No. 1 pick and decide not to trade down, they’ll likely take Georgia guard Anthony Edwards. If Golden State lands anywhere between Nos. 2 and No. 5, it’ll strongly consider Iowa State’s Tyrese Haliburton, Auburn’s Isaac Okoro and Israel’s Deni Avdija, among others," writes Letourneau.

The team reportedly has Haliburton rated above LaMelo Ball and Killian Hayes due to his positional versatility.
