The NBA fined the Miami Heat $25,000 for violating bench decorum rules. The violations took place during Miami's Game 6 victory over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The league fined the Heat because "on multiple occasions, several players stood for an extended period in Miami's team bench area, stood away from the team bench, and were on, encroaching upon or entering the playing court during live action".

The Dallas Mavericks were fined multiple times this postseason for similar behavior. The league hit Dallas with escalating fines for each occasion they violated bench decorum rules.

The NBA has fined the Dallas Mavericks $100,000 for continuing to violate league rules on bench decorum. The Mavericks have now been fined a total of $175,000 this postseason.

The league says that at multiple points during the Mavs Game 2 loss at the Golden State Warriors, that the team had several players and members of the coaching staff standing and encroaching on the on the court during game action. The increased fine is because this continues to be an issue for Dallas throughout the playoffs.

The Dallas Mavericks organization has been fined $50,000 for violating league rules regarding team bench decorum, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.

The amount of Dallas’ fine also reflects prior infractions of team bench decorum rules in the 2022 NBA playoffs.

On multiple occasions, several players and a member of the coaching staff stood for an extended period in the Mavericks’ team bench area, stood away from the team bench, and were on or encroaching upon the playing court during game action in the Mavericks’ 123-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns in Game 7 of their conference semifinal playoff series May 15 at Footprint Center.
