Suns Fined $25K For Violating Injury Report Rules

The NBA has fined the Phoenix Suns $25,000 for violating the NBA's injury report rules. The NBA ruled that Phoenix did not disclose Devin Booker's participation status in an accurate and timely manner prior to Game 6 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Booker returned to the lineup for Game 6 after missing the previous three games due to a hamstring strain. The Suns closed out their first round series against the Pelicans in Game 6, with Booker scoring 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

Miami Heat forward Markieff Morris was fined $25,000 for interfering with game play while he was on the bench. The incident took place during Game 5 of Miami's first round series against the Atlanta Hawks.

Morris grabbed and held Atlanta's De'Andre Hunter when Hunter had stepped out of bounds. Hunter was unable to reestablish himself inbounds before catching a pass, which results in a Hawks turnover.

Morris was issued a technical foul at the time, for interfering in live play while off the floor.

The incident, which took place from the team’s bench area, occurred with 1:43 remaining in the second quarter in the Heat’s 97-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on April 26 at FTX Arena.
