Windy City Bulls forward Isaih Moore has been suspended for three games for violating the NBA G League’s anti-gambling rules, it was announced by NBA G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim.  

The rule violation by Moore did not relate to gambling on any NBA G League games.

Moore will begin serving his three-game suspension on Wednesday, December 27.

The Philadelphia 76ers are adding forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. on a two-way contract. To clear room for Lofton, the Sixers are waiving guard Javonte Smart.

Lofton was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in the week. Memphis needed to create a roster spot when Ja Morant was reinstated from the suspended list.

The 6-foot-6 forward appeared in 39 NBA games with the Grizzlies over the past two seasons. He's averaged 4.1 points in seven minutes per game over that period.

In the G League, Lofton has been a dominant scorer and rebounder. In 32 games over two seasons with the Memphis Hustle, Lofton has averaged 22.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

Smart appeared in one NBA game for 76ers this season.

The New York Knicks have waived Jaylen Martin from his two-way contract. New York did this to create roster space to sign Dmytro Skapintsev to a two-way deal. Skapintsev was added to provide center depth, with Mitchell Robinson and Jericho Sims both injured.

Martin did not appear in an NBA game this season. The 6-foot-6 wing played in 16 games with the Westchester Knicks of the G League. Martin averaged 9.7 points and 2.9 rebounds for the G League Knicks.

The New York Knicks have agreed to a two-way contract with center Dmytro Skapintsev. New York was looking for additional center depth with both Mitchell Robinson and Jericho Sims out with injuries. They found it with Skapintsev, who has been with the Westchester Knicks of the G League this season.

The 7-foot-1 center has played in 55 games for the G League Knicks over the past two seasons. Skapintsev is averaging 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18.6 minutes per game this season.

It was recently reported that New York applied for a Disabled Player Exception for Robinson. That would mean that the Knicks believe their starting center will miss the remainder of the season following ankle surgery. In addition to Robinson being out, Jericho Sims went down with a sprained ankle earlier in the week. That left New York with only Isaiah Hartenstein and the recently added Taj Gibson at the five.

The Westchester Knicks won the 2023 G League Winter Showcase on Friday. The G League Knicks defeated the Indiana Mad Ants 107-99 to take home the Showcase Cup.

Brandon Goodwin was named the MVP of the Showcase. The veteran guard had 13 points and 13 assists in the final game.

Former G League player Chance Comanche was arrested by FBI agents in connection to a woman's disappearance in Las Vegas. Comanche was booked into Sacramento County Jail on Friday and faces charges of first-degree kidnapping.

Comanche was waived by the Stockton Kings, the G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, following his arrest.

Marayna Rodgers went missing after entering a car on December 6 with her friend Sakari Harnden. Comanche had played a game the previous evening in Henderson, Nevada, which is 15 miles from Las Vegas.

Comanche played in one NBA game for the Portland Trail Blazers last season, while on a callup from the G League. He's spent the last two seasons with Stockton, including 13 games played this season prior to his release.

The Chicago Bulls are signing forward Henri Drell to a two-way contract. To make room for Drell, the Bulls will waive forward Justin Lewis.

Drell has played for the Windy City Bulls of the G League for the last three seasons. The 6-foot-9 Estonian has averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over those three seasons.

Lewis has yet to appear in NBA game, despite spending two seasons with the Bulls. He missed the entirety of the 2022-23 season while rehabbing from a torn ACL. Lewis has averaged 5.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in 12 games for Windy City this season.

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to sign David Duke Jr. to a Two-Way contract. 

Duke is averaging 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 31.5 minutes over 11 games this season in the G League with the Delaware Blue Coats. 

The Iowa Wolves have acquired the returning player rights to Lance Stephenson.

The Minnesota Timberwolves currently have an open roster spot.

Stephenson last played in the NBA in 2021-22 with the Hawks and the Pacers. His most recent playing experience was four games in Puerto Rico’s Leones de Ponce this past spring.

Jontay Porter has agreed to sign a Two-Way contract with the Toronto Raptors.

Porter had been playing with the Motor City Cruise of the G League.

Porter takes the Two-Way spot of Ron Harper Jr.
