Draymond Green, Bradley Beal Ejected Following Scuffle

Oct 28, 2017 12:11 AM

Draymond Green and Bradley Beal were both ejected from Friday night's game shortly before halftime.

Beal slapped Green in the face from behind, which led Green to grab Beal. The two remained locked as the scuffle spilled into the baseline.

Green had received a technical foul earlier in the game.

Green spoke with ESPN about the incident while the game was still in progress.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do if someone hits you twice. Man, you're taught as a kid not to allow that. What was I supposed to do?

Green was asked if there's history with Bea.

"There's history with me and the NBA. That's the only reason I can think of why I was ejected."

"I'm wrong for what I did," Portis said prior to Saturday night's game. "I want to publicly apologize to Niko. I feel like I let my fans, the Bulls organization and, most importantly, my teammates down. This is not who Bobby Portis is."

Portis received an eight-game suspension from the Chicago Bulls.

Portis said he has tried to talk to Mirotic but has not heard back from him.

"I texted Niko. I called him. He didn't respond," Portis said.

Portis said he is not concerned about any legal action Mirotic might take.

"I'm not concerned about that at this point," he said. "I'm just trying to publicly apology to Niko and my teammates and [show] that I'm real sincere about the situation.

"Going forward, I want to make sure that me and Niko are cool and that we can be teammates again. And I'm pretty sure we can. We just have to repair this relationship."
