Rockets Fined $25,000 By NBA For Tilman Fertitta's Comments On Russell Westbrook

The Houston Rockets have been fined $25,000 by the NBA.

Tilman Fertitta made comments on Russell Westbrook before the Rockets' trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder was officially completed.

“We’re so excited to have Russell Westbrook,” Fertitta told Marc Berman of Fox 26 in Houston. “I would watch him play for Oklahoma City and he’s so athletic. At the same time this franchise just had the two years with the most wins it’s ever had in consecutive years and we wouldn’t have accomplished that without Chris Paul. Chris Paul is unbelievable & he’s gonna be sadly missed.”

Mark Cuban Fined $50k For Leaking Info During Board Of Governors Meeting

Mark Cuban has been fined $50,000 by the NBA after admitting to leaking information from a Board of Governors meeting to a reporter.

"I appreciate the irony of your reporting on a fine that someone should, but won't, get fined for leaking to you," Cuban told ESPN.

Vivek Ranadive expressed concern that information about the vote to allow coaches' challenges was being reported while the meeting was still in session. Cuban immediately admitted that he had leaked the information, sources said.
