Garrett Temple will not be waived on Monday, guaranteeing his contract for the remainder of the season.

The Miami Heat have waived Josh Harrellson.

With Harrellson's release, the Heat have two roster spots open.

The Houston Rockets have waived Scott Machado.

The Rockets would likely be interested in signing Machado to their D-League team if he clears waivers.

Houston will sign Patrick Beverley once he receives clearance from FIBA.

The Dallas Mavericks waived Chris Douglas-Roberts on Sunday.

Douglas-Roberts' contract would have become fully guaranteed had he remained on the contract through Monday afternoon.

The Mavericks are interested in signing Mike James.

Douglas-Roberts could also be signed to a 10-day contract if he clears waivers.

The Boston Celtics have waived forwards Kris Joseph and Jarvis Varnado.

Joseph, a 6’7” forward, appeared in six games for the Celtics and averaged 1.2 points in 4.0 minutes per game.

Varnado, a 6’9” forward, appeared in five games for the Celtics and averaged 1.2 points in 3.6 minutes per game.

The Celtics roster now stands at 13.

The Philadelphia 76ers have waived rookie guard Maalik Wayns.

Wayns signed as a free agent with the Sixers on July 31 and saw action in 20 games this season, averaging 2.5 points and 1.0 assists in 7.8 minutes per game.

The New Orleans Hornets have waived forward Dominic McGuire.

The Hornets signed McGuire on Dec. 16 as a free agent.

Since his signing, McGuire has appeared in nine games and has averaged 2.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 16.0 minutes per game.
