The Golden State Warriors assigned Moses Moody, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Ryan Rollins to their G League Santa Cruz on Thursday.

Moody has appeared in 39 games this season, averaging 5.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game.

Wizards Waive Devon Dotson From Two-Way Contract

The Washington Wizards have waived guard Devon Dotson from his Two-Way contract. Dotson was signed by Washington in late-November.

The third-year guard was signed when the Wizards had several injuries at the point guard position. With both Monte Morris and Delon Wright now healthy, fellow Two-Way guard Jordan Goodwin playing well, Washington no longer need Dotson for depth.

Dotson appeared in six NBA games with the Wizards. He also played in 21 games with the Capital City Go-Go of the G League. With the Go-Go, Dotson averaged 13.1 points, 5.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Hawks Sign Donovan Williams To Two-Way Contract

The Atlanta Hawks have signed Donovan Williams to a two-way contract. 

Williams appeared in 26 total games (19 starts) for the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League this season, tallying 15.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 28.6 minutes (.481 FG%, .407 3FG%, .658 FT%). He scored 20-or-more points six times, including pouring in a career-best 30 points in a win on Nov. 23, 2022, over the Raptors 905.

The 6-6 guard saw action in five games with the Brooklyn Nets during the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas, registering 3.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.8 minutes (.667 FG%, .750 3FG%, .750 FT%). Undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Williams was signed by the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 12, 2022, before being placed on waivers on Oct. 16, 2022.

The Atlanta Hawks are waiving Jarrett Culver from his Two-Way contract. Atlanta will replace Culver by signing Donovan Williams to a Two-Way deal.

Williams has spent this season with the Long Island Nets of the G League. The 6-foot-6 wing has averaged 15.5 points per game on 48% shooting from the field. Williams has also shot 40.7% on 4.7 three-point attempts per contest. Williams undrafted at the 2022 NBA Draft as an Early Entry Candidate out of UNLV.

Culver averaged 4.4 points across 10 NBA games with the Hawks. In 11 games with the College Park Skyhawks, Culver appeared in 11 games and averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Sunday, January 15 is the deadline for NBA teams to sign players to a Two-Way contract for the remainder of this season.

Mac McClung To Become First G League Player In NBA Slam Dunk Contest

Mac McClung has accepted an invitation to compete in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

McClung will be the first G League player to compete in the dunk contest. McClung appeared in two combined games last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.

McClung spent preseason with the Golden State Warriors and now plays for the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League.

G League Next Up Game To Be Played During All-Star Weekend

A version of the G League All-Star Game called the G League Next Up Game will be played during All-Star weekend this year.

The game will feature 24 players, with 10 players voted in by the fans.

All players currently on a G League roster and two-way players with a minimum of four games played will be eligible to compete.

Skyforce Claim Justin Champagnie Off Waivers

The Sioux Falls Skyforce have acquired Justin Champagnie, claiming him off waivers. 

Champagnie, a 6-6, 210-pound forward, went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft after spending two years at Pittsburgh.

He started 10 games for Raptors 905 this season as a two-way player and averaged 22.5 on 52.1 percent shooting (36.8 percent from deep), 10.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per 33.5 minutes a game. With Toronto, he appeared in three contests and averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per 3.6 minutes a game.

With Raptors 905 last season, as a part of his two-way contract, he appeared in 14 games (13 starts) and averaged 21.1 points on 48.9 percent shooting (40.9 percent from deep), 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals per 36.0 minutes a game. With Toronto, he averaged 2.3 points on 46.3 percent shooting and 2.0 rebounds per 7.8 minutes in 36 appearances.

Tyler Dorsey Signs G League Contract

Tyler Dorsey has signed a G League contract amid interest from the EuroLeague.

Dorsey, who was waived by the Mavs in December, recently had a workout with the Lakers.

The Texas Legends currently hold Dorsey's G League rights.
