The Sacramento Kings and Jimmer Fredette are close to agreement on a buyout.

The Kings attempted to trade Fredette before the trade deadline, including significant trade discussions with the Denver Nuggets.

The Kings passed on picking up their team option for 14-15, which would have allowed Fredette to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The New York Knicks haven't ruled out pursuing Fredette, though their emphasis will be on defense with their two available roster spots.

A source told Marc J. Spears that the Utah Jazz have not discussed signing Fredette. The Jazz roster is currently at maximum capacity at 15.

ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the Memphis Grizzlies will pursue Fredette once he cleares waivers.

The New York Knicks rejected the Oklahoma City Thunder's offer of their 2014 first round draft pick to acquire Iman Shumpert, according to sources.

The Knicks wanted an active player in return for Shumpert and deemed the guard more valuable than the late first round choice that the Thunder offered.

Doc Rivers was willing to trade Darren Collison, Byron Mullens, Matt Barnes and two second round picks to the Knicks for Shumpert, Raymond Felton and Beno Udrih, but Donald Sterling and others within the Los Angeles Clippers were hesitant to deal for an injured Shumpert.

Shumpert is expected to return on the trade market around the June draft.

The Detroit Pistons made "a serious push to find a new home for Josh Smith" at the trade deadline, according to Chad Ford.

Smith signed a four-year, $54 million contract with the Pistons in the offseason. The addition of Smith has caused issues in the frontcourt due to the presence of Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe.

Monroe will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

The Orlando Magic will sign Dewayne Dedmon to a 10-day contract on Monday.

Dedmon has had stints this season with the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers.

Dedmon was hopeful of receiving a long-term offer from the 76ers, but none ever materialized.

The New York Knicks thought they had a deal done at the deadline with the Los Angeles Clippers centered upon Iman Shumpert for Darren Collison.

The Clippers decided against making the trade at the last minute.

Sources believe the Clippers may have been posturing to keep Shumpert from being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Russell Westbrook was cleared to return to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup on Thursday for the first time since undergoing another procedure on his knee.

"He has worked extremely hard throughout his rehabilitation, and his addition will allow us to build on the progress we have made in his absence. As Russell integrates back into the team we are going to manage the transition by building his minutes over time and will evaluate his availability in back-to-back situations. These steps are an effort to control the areas of his return to play where feasible, given the reduced practice and conditioning time during the regular season. Our goal is to create the best foundation for Russell and the team as we head into the postseason.”

The Indiana Pacers have acquired Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen from the Philadelphia 76ers for Danny Granger.

The 76ers also acquired a future second round pick in the deal from the Pacers.

Turner will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired Byron Mullens from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers will receive a 2014 second round pick from the 76ers that will never be conveyed while also reducing their tax obligation. The 76ers also receive a second round pick in 2018 from the Clippers.

Mullens was averaging just 6.2 minutes per game for the Clippers.

The San Antonio Spurs have traded Nando De Colo to the Toronto Raptors for Austin Daye.

De Colo and Daye were not part of the regular rotation for either team.

The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Antawn Jamison to the Atlanta Hawks.

Jamison was signed to a one-year deal by the Clippers in the offseason.
