Anthony Davis is unlikely to play in Game 5 due to a strained groin. Davis sustained the injury during the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers' Game 4 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

There is optimism about the status of Davis, however, as the series continues beyond Game 5.

Davis will continue to be evaluated day-to-day. 

Monty Williams originally planned to sit Chris Paul for the Phoenix Suns' 100-92 win over of the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4.

"He said, 'Coach, let me start, and if you don't think I'm looking like I normally do, then take me out and we'll have to go in a different direction,'" said Williams of a pre-game conversation with Paul that changed his mind.

Paul finished the game with 18 points and nine assists.

Paul told his teammates that he would only play if he could help the team.

"I told them, 'I don't know how long it's going to be, but if you all feel like I'm out here looking like some trash, just tell me and I'll get out," said Paul.

Game 5 is on Tuesday. Anthony Davis' status is currently "unclear" due to a groin injury.

Davis strained his left groin in Game 3 and didn't return for the second half.

The series is tied 2-2, with Game 5 set for Tuesday. 

Kemba Walker is unlikely to play in Game 4 due to a bone bruise in his left knee, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The decision to sit Walker was made following a morning workout. 

Serge Ibaka is expected to miss Game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks due to a back injury, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Ibaka also missed Game 3 due to a sore back. 

The Clippers are down 2-1 in the series. 

Kemba Walker is questionable for Game 4 due to a bone bruise in his left knee.

"Kemba was sore today. I think that he'll go through stuff in the morning tomorrow and have a better idea on him," said Brad Stevens.

Walker scored six points in 34 minutes in Game 3.

Stevens added that Robert Williams is doubtful for Sunday due to a sprained left ankle. 

Luka Doncic will play in Game 4 despite suffering from a neck strain, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Doncic was originally listed as questionable due to the injury. 

Doncic said following Game 3 that the pain started in his neck and went down to his arm.

Anthony Davis is questionable for Game 4 due to a left knee sprain, according to Frank Vogel.

Davis added that "there’s no chance that I don’t play tomorrow."

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is also questionable due to a mild knee contusion. 

Russell Westbrook is questionable for Game 3 due to an ankle injury.

Westbrook did not practice on Friday.

Scott Brooks said that Westbrook would test his ankle on Saturday before making a final decision.

Westbrook is averaging 13 points and 12.5 assists per game against the Sixers. 

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is day-to-day after being diagnosed with a mild left knee contusion.

An MRI revealed no tear or structural damage, sources told ESPN.

Caldwell-Pope suffered the injury during Game 3.

The Lakers will monitor how Caldwell-Pope's leg responds to rest and treatment on Saturday in the buildup to Sunday's Game 4.
