Police in Mobile, Alabama have issued an arrest warrant for DeMarcus Cousins on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Christy West, a former girlfriend of Cousins', is seeking a restraining order against him after she said in court documents and in a police report obtained by TMZ that he threatened her and has previously choked her.

The NBA and Lakers on Tuesday said in statements that they were "investigating the allegations."

Cousins suffered a torn ACL earlier this month.

Kyle Kuzma has signed with Leon Rose at CAA for his on court and off court representation.

Kuzma parted ways with Mark Bartelstein earlier this offseason.

Kuzma will become eligible for a contract extension next offseason.

Christy West alleges Cousins said he would put a "bullet in (her) f---ing head" during an argument over allowing their 7-year-old son to attend Cousins' wedding to another woman.

The NBA said in a statement on Tuesday that they are aware of the reporting and are "investigating the allegations."

The Lakers said they are also looking into the matter.

"We are aware of the allegation involving DeMarcus Cousins and, of course, take this claim seriously," the Lakers said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time."

Cousins was married over the weekend.

The Los Angeles Lakers will waive Aric Holman from his Exhibit 10 contract in order to sign Dwight Howard.

Howard agreed to sign with the Lakers last week.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Dwight Howard to a "summer contract" because it has $0 in salary protection.

Howard will earn $14,490 for every day he is on the roster with the per day clock starting on Oct. 21.

The Lakers will likely insert an Exhibit 9 in his deal that will protect the team if Howard suffers an injury during training camp. The Lakers would only be responsible for $6,000 if Howard is injured and waived before the regular season.

The Lakers wanted Howard on a true makegood type of contract.

Dwight Howard first spoke with Jason Kidd about the possibility of joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard and Kidd were teammates during the 2008 Olympics and continued to have a solid relationship.

Howard told Kidd that he'd learned from the past few seasons and is ready to be an effective role player. Kidd became convinced of Howard's evolution and the Lakers then needed to get on the same page with the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Rob Pelinka and Frank Vogel.

Howard scheduled a workout and meeting for Thursday, but he also went to the Lakers' facility for a training session on Wednesday. 

“Dwight didn’t need to be here the day before the actual workout,” one source said, “but he was.”

Howard looked healthy and fit during his workouts. 

League sources said Howard had a convincing and emotional meeting with the players and Lakers officials, explaining how he had reached rock bottom a season ago and needed to find a new mindset in his life. 

The Memphis Grizzlies recouped $2.6 million of Dwight Howard's $5.6 million guaranteed salary in their buyout agreement.

Howard can earn $2.6 million on his veteran's minimum deal if he remains on the Los Angeles Lakers' roster past early January. Howard will be on a non-guaranteed contract with the Lakers.

The Grizzlies never intended to bring Howard to camp.

Dwight Howard has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers on a non-guaranteed one-year, $2.6 million deal.

Howard will sign with the Lakers once he clears waivers after being bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Howard had several meetings with the Lakers.

The Lakers also considered Joakim Noah and Mo Speights.

The Los Angeles Lakers conducted workouts and meetings with Dwight Howard and Joakim Noah on Thursday with Mo Speights coming in on Friday.

The Lakers want to sign a veteran center to give them more depth at the position following the likely season-ending injury to DeMarcus Cousins.

Both Howard and Noah gave the Lakers impressions they can be helpful to the team, according to reporting from Adrian Wojnarowski.

Tyronn Lue has agreed to become the top assistant coach on the staff of Doc Rivers with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lue very nearly became head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason.

The Cleveland Cavaliers fired Lue early in the 18-19 season.
