Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, but the chances of the Los Angeles Lakers offering Anthony Davis in return is described by one source to Jovan Buha of The Athletic as "zero."

The Lakers are focused on trading for Kyrie Irving, who also appears to be focused on finding his way to the franchise. A scenario in which the Lakers would acquire both Irving and Durant in a package deal has been floated by multiple executives to ESPN.

Durant has four seasons remaining on his contract and has the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat atop his wish list. Irving is on an expiring contract and has limited trade value currently. 

Kyrie Irving "is focused on getting to the Lakers," reports Brian Windhorst.

The Brooklyn Nets will have a limited set of teams interested in trading for Irving given his status on an expiring $36.5 million contract. 

The Lakers are also motivated to convert Russell Westbrook into a more productive roster. 

Juan Toscano-Anderson has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Toscano-Anderson is represented by Erika Ruiz. 

Troy Brown Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum.

Brown spent last season with the Chicago Bulls.

Lonnie Walker IV has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The deal is for the taxpayer midlevel. 

The San Antonio Spurs rescinded their qualifying offer to Walker before the start of free agency, which lifted his restricted free agent status. 

Walker is represented by Lucas Newton of Klutch Sports.

Damian Jones has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jones will have a player option in Year 2.

Jones is represented by Ty Sullivan and Austin Brown.

Malik Monk has agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with the Sacramento Kings.

Monk averaged 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 28.1 minutes over 76 games with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.

Monk is represented by Jeff Schwartz.

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, the Lakers offered Monk their taxpayer midlevel exception at $6.5 million.

The Los Angeles Lakers would have interest in acquiring Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in a package deal, league executives have floated to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

The Lakers have had prior interest in acquiring Kyrie Irving this offseason.

In order to acquire Durant and Irving, the Lakers would have to build a package around Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and future draft picks.

While Westbrook is on an expiring contract, he is widely viewed as a negative asset.

The Nets almost certainly could receive a more competitive offer from another team, though Davis would give them a top-10 talent.

The Los Angeles Lakers have several roster spots to fill this offseason. Unfortunately, the Lakers have limited resources to fill those roster spots with. Los Angeles has the Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception and veteran minimum to offer this summer.

The Lakers are reportedly focused on signing a wing using their Taxpayer MLE. Targets include Otto Porter Jr., Nicolas Batum, Gary Harris, Danuel House Jr., T.J. Warren, Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Juan Toscano-Anderson.

The Lakers also have some interest in big men like Mo Bamba (who will be an unrestricted free agent after not getting a qualifying offer from Orlando) and Nemanja Bjelica. Guards Jevon Carter and Jeremy Lamb are also on LA's list of players they'll consider signing.

The Los Angeles Lakers have exercised their team options for the 2022-23 season on Wenyen Gabriel and Stanley Johnson.

Gabriel appeared in 19 games (five starts) for Los Angeles last season, averaging 6.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16.4 minutes while shooting 50.5 percent from the field. Gabriel has played 77 career games, averaging 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes.

Johnson played 48 games (27 starts) for the Lakers last season and averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 22.8 minutes per game. Across 419 career games, Johnson has averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.1 minutes.
