Niele Ivey has been hired as the head coach of Notre Dame's women's basketball team.

Ivey spent this past season as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies. Ivey made two appearances in the Final Four as a player at Notre Dame and seven as an assistant coach.

Ivey will replace Muffet McGraw as head coach.
