Gordon Hayward has entered the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Hayward has started 45 games for the Charlotte Hornets this season and is fourth on the team in scoring at 17 points per game. 

The Hornets are 7-3 over their past 10 games.

The Charlotte Hornets have registered interest in Ben Simmons with the Philadelphia 76ers.

There have not yet been substantive talks at this time.

The 76ers are seeking a top-level All-Star or multiple first round picks.

Charlotte has long been on the market for an upgrade at center.

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to sign Bismack Biyombo to a contract for the remainder of the season.

Biyombo has averaged 13.5 points, six rebounds and two blocks in his two games with the Suns on a 10-day deal.

The Suns also have JaVale McGee at center backing up Deandre Ayton.
