Al Harrington has signed a one-year contract with the Fujian Sturgeons in China.

An announcement on the deal will come on Monday.

Harrington hopes to join the Washington Wizards as an assistant coach following his stint in China. He played with the Wizards last season.

The Washington Wizards have named Roy Rogers as an assistant on the staff of Head Coach Randy Wittman.

Rogers comes to Washington after spending the 2013-14 season with the Brooklyn Nets. He began his NBA coaching career with the Nets, serving as an assistant coach from 2008-2010. He then served as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics as part of Doc Rivers’ staff in 2010-11 before joining the Detroit Pistons for two seasons (2011-2013) under head coach Lawrence Frank.

Sam Cassell will leave the Washington Wizards to take an assistant coaching position with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cassell became an assistant with the Wizards in 2009.

A reunion with Rivers has been rumored for several weeks, with the Clippers losing assistants Tyronn Lue (to Cleveland) and Alvin Gentry (to Golden State) this offseason.

Cassell will receive a significant pay raise though it will be a lateral move.

Cassell played for the Clippers during his playing career.
