Apr 23, 2005 11:05 PM

The Charlotte Bobcats have two chances at a top-three selection in the lottery, and a source with knowledge of the team's thinking said Marvin Williams is the player they will likely target in the draft.

Marvin Williams might have to switch positions from power forward to small forward, but has the lateral quickness and perimeter jump shot to do it.

Apr 11, 2005 6:15 AM

The Grizzlies are now one win away from clinching a spot in this year's playoffs, their second in franchise history.

Shane Battier led Memphis with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Mike Miller added 21 points while shooting 5-of-8 from 3-point range.

``Charlotte came out very aggressive and made us run real hard,'' said Pau Gasol. ``They put pressure on us but we were able to make that run in the second quarter. We tried to match their aggressiveness tonight and we did that and got the win.''

A.I. Scores 48 To Extend Lead Over Orlando

Apr 7, 2005 1:16 AM

Against the Bobcats, Iverson scored 48 points in a 106-103 win over the feisty Charlotte Bobcats.  Iverson scored 30 points in the 1st half alone.

Chris Webber missed his 3rd straight game due to a sprained shoulder.

``When Chris is not on the court, it puts way too much on Allen's shoulders,'' said Sixers coach Jim O'Brien.

Bulls Win 9th Straight, Half A Game Behind Wizards

Apr 3, 2005 1:51 AM

The Bulls were without Eddy Curry again on Saturday, but it did not matter as they cruised to a 112-97 victory, their 9th in a row.

``This is something special. I hope that all the young guys on the team understand that streaks like this don't come around very often in the NBA,'' said Chicago's Eric Piatkowski, who had 19 points in the win. ``It just doesn't happen. You can play many, many years in this league, unless you are fortunate to have Shaquille O'Neal on your team or have a team like maybe the Detroit Pistons or San Antonio Spurs are right now, it's tough to do things like that.''

The Bulls are not just half a game behind the Wizards for the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
