Jason Terry confirmed he will not re-sign with the Houston Rockets next season. The Rockets informed them of their decision as they go in another direction.
Terry spent two seasons with the Rockets, averaging 5.9 points and 1.4 assists in 17.5 minutes per game last season.
Terry turns 39 in September and was the 10th overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft out of Arizona.
Pablo Prigioni has reached agreement on a two-year deal with the Houston Rockets.
The second year of Prigioni's deal with the Rockets is a team option.
Prigioni averaged 13.9 minutes per game last season with the Los Angeles Clippers. Prigioni previously played for the Rockets in the second half of the 14-15 season after he was traded by the New York Knicks.
Prigioni is 39 after only joining the NBA at the age of 35 for the 12-13 season.
Terrence Jones and the New Orleans Pelicans are nearing agreement upon a one-year deal.
Jones is an unrestricted free agent after the Houston Rockets did not extend a qualifying offer.
Jones will reunite with Kentucky teammate Anthony Davis.
In 2013-14, Jones co-existed with Dwight Howard in the frontcourt and averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 76 games.
Jones has averaged 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds for his career.
The Golden State Warriors gave Andrew Bogut the choice between joining the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets this offseason.
The Rockets were offering the Warriors the same deal Dallas made for Bogut.
The Philadelphia 76ers also expressed heavy interest but the Warriors felt like they owed it to Bogut to trade him to a team with realistic playoff aspirations.
James Harden and the Houston Rockets have agreed to a four-year, $118 million renegotiated extension.
The deal assures the Rockets of one additional year of Harden under contract in 2018-19 because of a player option that could return him to free agency in 2019.
"There's no indecision," Harden said at the news conference. "There's no doubt. There's new life."
Houston is allowed to use their own cap space to renegotiate the final two years of Harden's contract plus two new deals.
"We're building a new core with James here," Houston general manager Daryl Morey said at the news conference.
Harden had two years and $34.6 million left on his deal through 2018, and the renegotiation gives him nearly $10 million and $11 million raises on those salaries – and two new years in 2018-19 and 2019-20 at $30.4 million and $32.7 million a year, respectively.
In total, the Rockets are paying Harden an additional $83.5 million over the next four years.
Nene has agreed to sign a one-year, $2.9 million deal with the Houston Rockets.
Nene had been with the Washington Wizards since his trade from the Denver Nuggets in 2012.
Nene is no longer a starter quality big man but he's remained an effective rotation player.

Anderson is now 28 and is considered one of the NBA's better stretch-4's.
Anderson played in just 22 games in 13-14 and has been limited to 61 games and 66 games over the past two seasons.
Al Horford held four meetings over the course of Friday and plans to make a decision on his future over the weekend.
Horford met with the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards in addition to two other teams. The Boston Celtics also have a strong degree of interest in Horford and met with him, as did the Hawks.
With the Hawks re-signing Kent Bazemore and also signing Dwight Howard, the odds of him re-signing have become slim.
Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports the Hawks have been engaged in trade talks to free up cap space to re-sign Horford if he chooses to return.
