The Minnesota Timberwolves will wear their black throwbacks with green trees from the Kevin Garnett era to celebrate their 30th anniversary in the NBA. The Wolves will first wear the jerseys on Halloween. The Wolves wore the uniforms from 1996 until 2008.

Tom Thibodeau said he's "very optimistic" the Minnesota Timberwolves will sign Karl-Anthony Towns to an extension before the start of the regular season.
Towns could sign an extension worth as much as $187 million.
If Towns doesn't sign an extension, he will become a restricted free agent in 2019.
“We know how important Karl is to the future of the organization,” Thibodeau said.
The relationship between Towns and Thibodeau has been a point of discussion this offseason.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have hired Malik Allen to replace Rick Brunson as assistant coach.
Allen accepted an assistant’s job with the Pistons on Stan Van Gundy’s staff in 2014 and coached there until he was just hired by the Wolves.
“He came up the hard way, undrafted, terrific career as a player,” Thibodeau said. “Everywhere he has been, his teammates loved him and he’s done a great job as a coach.”
Deng Adel has agreed to sign a camp deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Adel went undrafted out of Louisville.
Adel averaged 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21.2 minutes per game in Summer League with the Houston Rockets.
The Los Angeles Lakers plan on pursuing another max contract free agent next offseason.
The 2019 free agency class includes Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, DeMarcus Cousins and others.
According to a source close to Butler, he's open to the idea of joining LeBron James with the Lakers.
The Minnesota Timberwolves traded for Butler on draft night in 2017.
The Dallas Mavericks have hired Peter Patton as their shooting coach.
The Minnesota Timberwolves parted ways with Patton in May.
The Wolves have yet to announce a replacement for Patton.

Nunnally went undrafted out of UC Santa Barbara in 2012. Nunally played for Fenerbahce over the past two seasons.
