Patrick Beverley Out Two Weeks With Adductor Injury

Nov 26, 2021 2:04 PM

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley will be out at least two weeks due to an adductor strain, per head coach Chris Finch. Beverley was injured early in the Wolves home victory over the Miami Heat on November 24.

Minnesota has given Beverley a lot of credit for their defensive improvement. After years of languishing in the bottom-10 of the NBA in defense, the Timberwolves currently rank fifth in the league.

In 16 games (12 starts) Beverley has averaged 8.1 points. 4.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest. The Wolves acquired Beverley in the offseason from the Memphis Grizzlies for Jarrett Culver and Juancho Hernangomez.

Butler grabbed the ball from Edwards' arms after the second-year wing of the Minnesota Timberwolves had been called for traveling. Edwards took exception and pushed Butler in the back.

“He ain’t finna fight nobody out there,” Edwards said. “All that walking up on each other, that’s stuff for the birds, man. I ain’t about to fight. I don’t get into all that. That [expletive] be fake.”

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been fined $250,000 for violating league rules that prohibit teams from arranging or paying for offseason practice or group workout sessions for their players outside a team’s home market, the NBA announced.

NBA Teams Monitoring Karl-Anthony Towns' Situation With Timberwolves

Nov 5, 2021 9:08 AM

Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns claimed he was a victim of hacking on Twitter recently. Towns' account liked a tweet with #FreeKAT in the text. Towns indicated that he didn't like the tweet and that his account had to have been hacked.

Towns said, "Sorry to the Wolves fans. I ain’t want to cause no hysteria or anything like that. But just know I’m very happy. I know we’re on a skid so it came at the worst possible time, that little hacking. I’m excited to hopefully build more years here, not just this year."

Despite the Timberwolves struggles throughout his NBA tenure, Towns has never expressed a desire to leave the team. Minnesota got off to a good start this season, but has had some struggles in the last week. Towns acknowledged this and said the team has to work to keep it from becoming a full slide, like in years past.

"We have to come together and we have to keep our team together and the camaraderie and the energy and the morale up," Towns said.

Towns' public commitments on remaining in Minnesota haven't dissuaded other NBA teams from closely monitoring his situation. The belief around the league is that Towns will eventually get frustrated with the lack of playoff appearances and will ask for a trade.
