John Konchar, Grizzlies Sign Three-Year, $19M Extension

John Konchar and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a three-year, $19 million extension.

The extension takes Konchar, who has two seasons left on his contract, through the 2026-2027 season.

Konchar shot 41% on 3-pointers, and 51% overall, in a career-best 18 minutes a game last season.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Kennedy Chandler have agreed to a four-year, $7.1 million rookie deal.

Chandler was the No. 38 pick in the draft.

Chandler's contract guarantee of $4.94 million is the largest ever for an American-born second round pick.

Grizzlies Sign Kenny Lofton Jr, Vince Williams Jr To Two-Way Contracts

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Kenny Lofton Jr. and Vince Williams Jr. to Two-Way contracts. Both players are now expected to join Memphis for Summer League.

Williams was drafted by Memphis in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft out of Virginia Commonwealth. The 6-foot-6 wing was a four-year player at VCU. As a senior, Williams averaged 14.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Lofton went undrafted at the 2022 NBA Draft as an Early Entry candidate. The 6-foot-8 forward started 61 games over two seasons at Louisiana Tech before declaring for the draft. As a sophomore, Lofton averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Despite the similar name, Lofton is not the son of former MLB All-Star Kenny Lofton.

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a five-year, $193 million designated rookie maximum extension. The deal could become worth $231 million if he makes an All-NBA team again next season.

Morant was the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft and was a Second Team All-NBA guard last season.
