Steve Mills said that Kristaps Porizingis threatened to go back to Europe to finish his rehab if he weren't traded by the New York Knicks by the trade deadline.

Mills recounted the story at a Knicks fan forum on Wednesday.

“When he walked into our office, my office, and Scott [Perry, Knicks GM] was sitting there with me, and point blank said to us, ‘I don’t want to be here, I’m not going to re-sign with the Knicks, and I’ll give you seven days to try and trade me or I’m going back to Europe,'" said Mills.

Mills and Scott Perry added that they started receiving trade offers for Porzingis last September.

The Philadelphia 76ers can offer Tobias Harris up to a five-year, $188 million contract in free agency.

Harris is also expected to receive interest from the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets. The most those teams can offer is a four-year, $141 million max contract.

The Sixers traded Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, and four draft picks — including a protected 2020 first-rounder and the unprotected 2021 Miami Heat first-rounder in a package for Harris.

Dwight Powell will decline his $10.2 million player option for the 19-20 season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Powell signed a four-year, $37 million contract with the Mavericks in 2016.

Powell is expected to receive interest from multiple teams this offseason.

Luka Doncic, Trae Young and Deandre Ayton have been named the three finalists for the 2018-19 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Doncic is widely expected to win the award.

Video footage of Kristaps Porzingis, in which he appears to have a torn shirt and a cut above his eye, is circulating around social media.

The video was reportedly shot in his hometown of Liepaja, Latvia following an altercation.

It is not known who shot the original 32-second video of Porzingis outside of a bar.

Patrick Beverley discussed the potential of playing alongside Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks ahead of his upcoming free agency.

Beverley and Doncic communicated with each other on Twitter last week.

"Of course. He’s ball dominant, makes the right plays. If that does come, it would be me, Luka, Tim Hardaway Jr., (Kristaps) Porzingis, Courtney Lee. It’s tough when you actually think about it. But I’m going to have fun with free agency man. I work hard. I’m gonna enjoy this process," said Beverley when asked if he could imagine himself on the Mavs next season.

Beverley averaged 7.6 points and 3.8 assists with the Clippers last season.
