The New Orleans Pelicans have received interest from approximately 10 teams on Jrue Holiday. The Denver Nuggets are one of the teams to express interest in trading for Holiday. The Nuggets are one of the title contenders with the most appealing collection of assets to pull off a trade for a star of Holiday's caliber.

Holiday can become a free agent in 2021.

Many teams believe the Pelicans will explore shedding some salary going into the 20-21 season.

The Denver Nuggets reached the Western Conference Finals and if they make a bold move to upgrade their roster via trade, it almost certainly won't be by including Michael Porter Jr. in a deal as he remains untouchable. 

"In talking to teams around the league, the Nuggets have made it clear: Michael Porter Jr. is not available," said Brian Windhorst. "Do not ask."

Porter averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 16.4 minutes over 55 games as a rookie in 19-20 after sitting out the 18-19 season due to a back injury.

The Nuggets likely have the pieces to make a major trade but it would have to include Porter.

"I thought Denver would go whole hog on this, but I can't tell you how much I was told this week that they're not trading Michael Porter Jr.," added Windhorst. "If you believe Michael Porter is a future All-NBA player, which some people do, not everybody, that's a polarizing discussion..."

Jerami Grant will decline his $9.3 million player option for the 20-21 season to become a free agent, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Grant and the Denver Nuggets have significant mutual interest on a new deal.

The Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks are also expected to show interest in Grant.

Grant is capable of playing both forward positions and has improved as a three-point shooter.

The Los Angeles Clippers were scheduled to interview Wes Unseld Jr. on Thursday.

Unseld has already interviewed for the head coaching vacancy of the Houston Rockets.

“I love him,” said Nikola Jokic when asked about his relationship with Unseld Jr. “I talk to him a lot, even outside of basketball. I love him as a person, as a coach. Me and him have kind of a similar mindset. We don’t need to say that much. … I really love the communication, the relationship that we have. It’s fun. We are helping each other.”

Unseld was also a serious candidate for the Chicago Bulls' position before it went to Billy Donovan.

Wes Unseld Jr. has interviewed with the Houston Rockets for their head coaching vacancy.

Unseld is currently an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets.
