Chauncey Billups missed the Detroit Pistons' practice on Thursday due to tendinitis in his knee.
Billups is listed as day-to-day and is questionable to play on Friday at the Sacramento Kings.
Billups is averaging 5.3 points and 2.4 assists in 22.1 minutes per game this season.
Brandon Jennings called out Chris Smith on Twitter for his presence on an NBA roster on Wednesday.
"Wait wait wait JR smith brother is in the NBA but @PoohJeter (Pooh Jeter) & @BBROWNLAU (Bobby Brown) isn't. Call me hater but not Rollin!!!," wrote Jennings on Twitter in a message that was later deleted.
Chris Smith is the younger brother of J.R. Smith and has acknowledged that his brother has helped his career. Smith is represented by Creative Artists Agency, which has close ties to Carmelo Anthony, Andrea Bargnani, Mike Woodson, Allan Houston and Mark Warkentien.
Some agents believe Chris Smith's roster spot was part of a package deal with the New York Knicks when J.R. Smith re-signed in July.
J.R. Smith responded to Jennings with a tweet threatening to send "street homies" to Detroit.
Josh Smith played just 18 minutes and scored two points for the Detroit Pistons in a 113-95 loss to the Golden State Warriors.
The benching was unexpected but Maurice Cheeks said it wasn't designed to send a message to Smith.
"Not at all," Cheeks said. "Like I said, we were just trying to change some things up. It wasn't about sending a message."
"You can't really focus on the decisions that people make, higher than you," Smith said. "You just have to be able to adjust around it. As long as I've been in this league, that's what I've been willing to do."
The Pistons have struggled with their chemistry this season.
Andre Drummond has had his minutes increase significantly this season after he was used with extreme caution as a rookie by Lawrence Frank.
Drummond is averaging 37 minutes per game and played 48 minutes last week in an overtime loss by the Detroit Pistons to the Memphis Grizzlies.
"I'm very well conditioned, you know, so just playing those amount of minutes, each and every night, it's fun for me," Drummond said. "I get to work on parts of my game and be on the floor with the guys, too. So it's great. It's something for me to learn how to get used to is almost what it is."
Drummond isn't pacing himself during his minutes.
"If I get tired, it's as simple as taking me out -- I need a few minutes," Drummond said. "But I rarely get tired on the floor, unless it's a stretch where we're just constantly back and forth. But other than that, I'm in great condition, I'm feeling great, my body's feeling great."
