The Phoenix Suns have interest in trading for Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets, reports Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. Bridges is one of up to 10 players that the Suns have interest in ahead of the February 8 trade deadline.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports that the Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons are also interested in trading for Bridges. 

Bridges has a no-trade clause for this season, because he will lose his Bird Rights if he's traded. This is because Bridges is on a one-year deal with Bird Rights following this season. Because he'll be looking for a bigger contract than his Non-Bird Rights would allow for, Bridges would be considered a rest-of-season rental by Phoenix.

The Suns are also aware that Bridges has off-court issues that need to be handled. He has a pending court date for next month for allegedly violating a protection order stemming from the same domestic violence incident in 2022 that saw him receive a 30-game suspension from the NBA.

Another challenge in trading for Bridges is that the Hornets reportedly are looking for draft picks in any deal. Phoenix is limited in what they can trade, due to having traded several picks in deals to acquire Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the last year.

The Detroit Pistons are open to trading veteran players ahead of the February 8 deadline. However, the Pistons aren't openly shopping at least some of their veterans either.

Detroit may be more willing to trade Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks than they were a year ago, but they aren't shopping either player. The Pistons are holding firm on a good first-round pick and a good young player for Bogdanovic. Burks price may be closer to two really good second-round picks.

Bogdanovic has a partially guaranteed contract for next season. Only $2 million of his $19 million deal is guaranteed. Burks is set for unrestricted free agency, but the Pistons believe they can re-sign the veteran combo guard.

The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons have engaged on trade discussions involving Zach LaVine. However, the Pistons have found the Bulls asking price for LaVine to be too high.

Detroit considers Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivey and Ausar Thompson as their blue-chip pieces. The Pistons have no interest in trading any of the four players.

Chicago has been focused on a trade package for LaVine that involve Bojan Bogdanovic and one of Cunningham, Duren, Ivey or Thompson. The Pistons have held firm for now, but could re-engage if the Bulls lower their asking price ahead of the trade deadline.

Cade Cunningham has been cleared to resume basketball actives and could return in 5-7 days.

Cunningham has been out with a left knee strain.

Cunningham has missed the past five games.

The Detroit Pistons are trading Marvin Bagley III, Isaiah Livers, and conditional second-round picks in 2025 and 2026 to the Washington Wizards for Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala.

Detroit will shave $12.5 million in salary off their cap for next season by trading Bagley. That puts the Pistons in place to have between $50 and $70 million in cap space, pending further roster moves.

Livers, Gallinari and Muscala all have expiring contracts at the end of this season. The Wizards could choose to make Livers a restricted free agent, should they see him as a long-term part of the roster.

The Atlanta Hawks appear determined to trade Dejounte Murray by the deadline and he's been discussed in a number of scenarios already.

The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons are five teams expected to engage the Hawks on a trade for Murray leading to the deadline.

While the San Antonio Spurs have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Murray, they do not currently have the types of pieces Atlanta is believed to be looking for in a deal. The Brooklyn Nets don't appear to be actively pursuing Murray.

Murray signed a four-year, $114 million extension last offseason, which begins ahead of the 24-25 season.

Murray's contract is considered a good one in the NBA's new second apron environment. 

The Detroit Pistons believe that Cade Cunningham avoided a serious knee injury, sources told Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

Cunningham was diagnosed with a left knee sprain and could miss "a few" games.

Bojan Bogdanovic still has "great interest" from teams around the league, sources told James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

Edwards adds that he believes the Pistons are not looking to trade Bogdanovic, and that they would need draft picks or multiple role players to consider a deal.

Several teams expressed interest in Bogdanovic last season, including the Lakers and Pelicans.

Bogdanovic has a partially guaranteed contract for next season worth $19 million. 

If the Toronto Raptors decide to trade Pascal Siakam before the deadline, the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons are considered the three most probable landing spots.

The Pistons continue to signal to opposing executives that they have interest in adding to their team immediately despite their pronounced struggles this season.

The Atlanta Hawks, who had long been connected to Siakam, have essentially bowed out of the running as they look to reset their roster in other ways.

The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers have been mentioned as possible teams for Siakam, but lack the requisite pieces to trade to the Raptors. 

Similar to their return of Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett from the New York Knicks for OG Anunoby, the Raptors are continuing to prioritize young, established players with upside over future draft capital.
