The Minnesota Timberwolves will hire Sachin Gupta as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.

Gupta was previously working as assistant general manager of the Detroit Pistons.

Gupta previously worked with Gersson Rosas in the Houston Rockets' front office.

The Detroit Pistons have Seth Curry on their offseason target list.

The Pistons are seeking player who can play backup point guard and also improve their three-point shooting.

Curry signed a two-year, $5.6 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers last offseason with the second season being a player option.

Curry has been productive with Portland, both in bench units and playing crunch time as part of a three guard lineup.

The Detroit Pistons announced plans for a G League team to play in the new basketball arena at Wayne State University.

There is no timetable for when Detroit would get a G League affiliate. The Pistons and the Grand Rapids Drive currently have an agreement that runs through the 2021 G League season, although there is also talk of expansion. 

The new $25 million basketball facility at Wayne State University will sit 3,000 fans.
