Blake Griffin Could Miss Entire Series Against Bucks With Left Knee Injury

Apr 15, 2019 8:39 AM

Blake Griffin is likely to miss the entire first round series between the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.

Griffin has been dealing with a left knee injury for several weeks and miss the Pistons' season finale against the New York Knicks.

The Pistons were blown out by the Bucks without Griffin in Game 1.

There's no structural damage in the left knee, and it's unclear whether he'll need some type of minor procedure this offseason.

Apr 11, 2019 2:23 AM

The Detroit Pistons made the playoffs for the first time since 2016 after beating the New York Knicks 115-89 to secure the 8th seed.

The Pistons will face the Bucks in the first round.

"We knew what was at stake. We knew that [the Knicks] were coming in to try to ruin our season that we worked so hard for," said Andre Drummond.

The Pistons were playing without Blake Griffin, who was out with a sore knee. Dwane Casey added that he was not sure if Griffin would be available for game 1.

"I think these few days off will help, and we'll just see where he is at that time," said Casey about Griffin.
