The New Orleans Pelicans have signed four players to training camp deal. New Orleans added Malcolm Hill, Trey Jemison, Tevian Jones and Liam Robbins. The four players could be in competition for the Pelicans open two-way spot.

Hill spent part of last season on a two-way deal with the Chicago Bulls. The other three players went undrafted at the 2023 NBA Draft. Jemison played at UBA, Jones at Southern Utah and Robbins finished his collegiate career at Vanderbilt.

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to sign Kaiser Gates to a Two-Way contract.

Gates averaged 14 points on 55.4 percent three-point shooting last season in the G League for the Long Island Nets.

Jose Alvarado sprained his ankle during a workout over the weekend, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Alvarado is questionable for training camp due to the injury. 

Brandon Ingram is eligible for a contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, but he will wait until next offseason before engaging in discussions. 

Ingram is owed $33.8 million this season and $36.0 million next season. Ingram is currently able to extend for three years for a combined total of $147 million. 

If Ingram makes an All-NBA team, he would become eligible for a supermax extension starting at 35 percent of the salary cap.

Ingram has rarely played in at least 65 games during his career, which is the threshold for All-NBA eligibility. 

Trey Murphy III underwent a successful partial meniscectomy and received a biologic injection in his left knee this afternoon.

The surgery was performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York.

Murphy is expected to make a full recovery and will return to basketball activities in approximately 10-12 weeks.

There is "significant concern" over Trey Murphy III's meniscus injury, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Murphy suffered the injury during a workout on Tuesday. 

Wojnarowski added that there is "at least a slight tear" in the meniscus. 

Murphy will undergo further evaluation to determine what type of procedure would be necessary moving forward, with an update expected to come this week.

It is not yet clear whether Murphy will require surgery.

Last season, Murphy averaged 14.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 31.0 minutes over 79 games for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Murphy is scheduled to be a restricted free agent in 2025.
