JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple are drawing trade interest from teams including the Charlotte Hornets and the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Grizzlies are rumored to be looking for a second-round pick for either player as they look to rebuild.

The Memphis Grizzlies were granted a Disabled Player Exception by the NBA worth $689,000 following Dillon Brooks' season-ending injury.

The 22-year-old Brooks ruptured a ligament on his big toe. He is expected to be fully recovered by 2019-2020 training camp. 

Joakim Noah was sent home by the New York Knicks last Jan. 24 when he and Jeff Hornacek had an altercation at a Denver hotel.

Hornacek escalated the situation by shoving Noah.

“I got kicked off the team,” said Noah. “Obviously, you know the situation. It’s unfortunate.”

Noah calls the period a “dark time” in his life and accepting responsibility for “failing on the stage where I wanted to do well on.”

Two sources say the incident was related to Noah playing just four minutes in the previous night's loss by the Knicks to the Warriors.

“During my time in New York I had shoulder surgery on my left side before I signed my deal, then I had two surgeries that year,” Noah says. “And then I had the drug suspension. So I dealt with a lot of (crap). I had a lot of (crap) going on. It was not easy. I think these are all life lessons. It was a tough time for me mentally. Failing like that on a stage I really wanted to do well on. I take responsibility. It took me a while to digest that.”

Mike Conley revealed that Robert Pera told him and Marc Gasol they will be mentioned in trade talks.

The Memphis Grizzlies are on the cusp of beginning a rebuild.

Pera "called me just to make me aware that they were going to go about doing this," Conley said.

Gasol declined to share details of his conversations. Asked if he was surprised by the reports, Gasol replied: "Uh. Irrelevant."

Conley also said there was no indication in his talk with Pera that a trade will happen by the league's deadline Feb. 7.

"It was just making us aware that our names would be thrown out there," Conley said. "Not that one of us or both of us are going to be gone by next Tuesday or by All-Star break. I feel just as good about being here as the next person. I'm not worried right now. A lot can happen in a few weeks. Right now, I'm just taking it in stride."

The Memphis Grizzlies are attempting to trade Chandler Parsons, who will almost certainly remain away from the team for the remainder of the season.

Parsons returned to California to work out as he waits on a possible trade.

Parsons signed a four-year, $93 million contract in 2016 with the Grizzlies.

The Memphis Grizzlies are ready to listen to trade offers for Marc Gasol and Mike Conley.

The Grizzlies could decide to keep one or both players if no deals meet the threshold of a desired return.

Memphis is prepared to reshape their roster around Jaren Jackson.

The Grizzlies will seek a combination of young talent, draft picks and cap relief.

The age and money owed to Gasol and Conley will make it difficult for the Grizzlies to get a substantial return.

The Memphis Grizzlies would prefer not to trade Marc Gasol, but they have been quietly gauging potential interest in him via trade.

Gasol is 33 and it is difficult to ascertain what type of return the Grizzlies could get for him.

The Grizzlies are nine games under .500 and are almost certainly out of the playoff picture.

Gasol has a player option for the 19-20 season.

Bruno Caboclo has signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Caboclo averaged 16.4 points and 7.2 rebounds with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets' G League affiliate.

Gasol has a player option for the 19-20 season worth $25.5 million.

The Grizzlies have lost nine of their past 10 games and are falling out of the Western Conference playoff picture.

The Memphis Grizzlies owe a protected first round pick to the Boston Celtics, which conveys if is outside the top-8 in 2019 and the top-6 in 2020 before becoming unprotected in 2021.

The Grizzlies' future is uncertain as Marc Gasol and Mike Conley Jr. get older.

"I think Memphis would rather get this obligation over with and give the Celtics the 10th pick in this draft then roll it over when the protections get even lighter and maybe Gasol leaves, maybe Conley is a year older," said Zach Lowe on The Bill Simmons Podcast.

"Memphis, according to everyone I've talked to, would rather get it over with now unless they spiral so badly."
