Magic Granted Disabled Player Exception Worth $6.1 Million For Markelle Fultz

The Orlando Magic were granted a disabled player exception worth $6.1 million for the season-ending loss of Markelle Fultz.

Fultz suffered a torn left ACL in early January.

The DPE will expire on April 19th.

The NBA postponed Wednesday's game between the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic. The Celtics won't have eight available players for the game.

The NBA previously postponed Tuesdays game between the Celtics and Chicago Bulls while Boston's game on Sunday was postponed because the Miami Heat didn't have enough players.

Jayson Tatum tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday evening.

Markelle Fultz Out For Season With Torn ACL

Markelle Fultz suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 20-21 season.

Fultz signed a four-year, $50 million extension with the Orlando Magic before the start of the season.

Fultz is averaging 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 30.1 minutes per game this season.

The Magic also lost Jonathan Isaac to a torn ACL in August.

Chuma Okeke Out Several Weeks With Bone Bruise In Left Knee

Chuma Okeke is expected to miss several weeks with a bone bruise on his left knee.

Okeke was the 16th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft out of Auburn but missed the entire 19-20 season after tearing the ACL in his left knee. This injury has showed no damage to his ligaments.

Okeke was averaging 18.2 minutes per game for the Orlando Magic.
