The Washington Wizards have waived Toure' Murry to create a roster spot for Will Bynum.

Murry appeared in three games for the Wizards and averaged 1.5 points in 4.3 minutes per game.

The Washington Wizards have signed Will Bynum to a 10-day contract. 

Bynum (6-0, 185) has played seven seasons with Golden State and Detroit appearing in 353 career regular season games while averaging 8.2 points, 3.3 assists and 1.6 assists in 18.5 minutes per game.  

Undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2005, Bynum enjoyed his best season in 2009-10 for the Detroit Pistons when he averaged career highs with 10.0 points and 4.5 assists per game. Bynum appeared in 30 games this season for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 22.3 points, 7.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting .564 from the field.

Marreese Speights said he knew the Washington Wizards would falter in Monday's game if the Golden State Warriors elevated their defense.

"We just turned up a little," Speights said. "We knew if we hit them, if we got a couple stops they would start arguing with each other and quit. We went out there with a good mindset in the second half and we did it.”

The Wizards lost 107-76 and were outscored 29-8 in the third quarter.

Murry has appeared in two of the Wizards’ four games since joining Washington. He played three minutes the day he signed against the Memphis Grizzlies and six seconds in Washington’s loss to the Utah Jazz Wednesday.

Murry was initially signed to give the Wizards depth in the backcourt.

Murry has made two appearances with the Wizards.

John Wall suffered a sprained right ankle in the Washington Wizards' win on Wednesday over the Utah Jazz.

Wall suffered the injury contesting a fast-break alley-oop with just over seven minutes remaining. Wall limped around but tightened his right sneaker and stayed in the game. 

“You know me. I want to play. I want to compete,” said Wall, whose ankle was swollen after the game. “I tied my shoe as tight as possible and ran it off. If it hurts afterwards I’ll get a day off tomorrow to rest. So it’s nothing.”

Wall has yet to miss a game this season.

Kevin Seraphin has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for his flagrant 2 foul on Jon Leuer, the league announced Friday.

The incident occurred in the Washington Wizards' win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night.

The Washington Wizards plan on signing Toure' Murry to a 10-day contract.

Murry has been playing well of late in the D-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Murry signed with the Utah Jazz in the offseason and was waived in January.
