The Houston Rockets are exploring a trade for a wing defender with Kent Bazemore a gettable target.

The Rockets attempted to sign Bazemore during the 2016 free agency.

The Hawks like Bazemore but would be willing to move him for the right offer as they rebuild their roster.

For the Hawks to take back a contract like Ryan Anderson, they would need a draft pick and/or a young player. Houston has been attempting to trade Anderson for months.

The New Orleans Pelicans are also interested in Bazemore, but the Hawks aren't interested in taking on Solomon Hill.

Carmelo Anthony has agreed to a buyout of his $27.9 million contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

Anthony is giving back $2.4 million of his deal. Anthony will recoup that amount by signing with the veteran's minimum.

Anthony will officially commit to the Houston Rockets once he clears waivers.

The Atlanta Hawks will likely waive Carmelo Anthony on Monday.

Player physicals were completed over the weekend.

Anthony will become a free agent and is expected to sign with the Houston Rockets.

Daniel Hamilton has agreed to a one-year guaranteed deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Hamilton was on a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season.

Vince Carter has agreed to sign a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Carter spent last season with the Sacramento Kings.

Alex Poythress has agreed to a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

Poythress went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2016 and spent last season on a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers.

The Chicago Bulls have claimed Antonius Cleveland off waivers.

Cleveland is on a multi-year contract.

The Atlanta Hawks have requested waivers on guard Antonius Cleveland.

Cleveland saw action in four games with the Hawks last season, averaging 3.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 10.4 minutes (.571 FG%, 3-3 3FGs, 2-2 FTs). He was signed to a multi-year contract on Mar. 14 after signing consecutive 10-day contracts on Feb. 22 and Mar. 4.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony and a protected 2022 first round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Dennis Schroder. Atlanta will also send Mike Muscala to the Philadelphia 76ers with Justin Anderson going to the Hawks. The 76ers will also send Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to Oklahoma City.

The pick is protected 1-14 in 2022 and will become two second rounders if it doesn't convey.

Anthony will be waived and the Houston Rockets will be the frontrunner.

Sam Presti and Billy Donovan were given permission to talk with Schrroder and they're enthusiastic about a partnership.

Muscala is likely to be moved to a third team.

The Thunder's projected luxury tax bill, meanwhile, will drop from $150 million to $88.8 million, saving them $62 million. The Thunder will save an additional $11 million with Schroder's $15.5 million contract and the $1.5 million cap hit of Luwawu-Cabarrot. If the Thunder used the stretch provision on Anthony, they would have $9 million remaining over the next three years. Schroder makes $15.5 million per year compared to Anthony's $28 million for 18-19.

The Atlanta Hawks have requested waivers on guard Jaylen Morris.

Morris played in six games last season with the Hawks, averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.4 minutes. He was signed to a multi-year contract on March 21 after signing consecutive 10-day contracts on February 28 and March 11.
