The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Jerami Grant to the Denver Nuggets for a 2020 first round pick.

The deal saves the Thunder $39 million in salary and tax.

Danilo Gallinari will start for the Thunder at power forward this season, which made Grant expendable.

Denver absorbs Grant's $9 million salary into the trade exception created with the Wilson Chandler deal to Philadelphia on July 8, 2018.

Michael Porter Jr. suffered a left knee strain during a scrimmage, a league source told Mike Singer of The Denver Post.

Porter is unlikely to play in the Las Vegas Summer League, though the injury is not expected to be a long-term issue.

Porter missed all of last season following his second back surgery.

Isaiah Thomas has agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Wizards.

Thomas spent last season with the Denver Nuggets.

Since being named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2017, Thomas has bounced around to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Nuggets as he's tried to work his way back his hip injury.

Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a five-year, $170 million max contract.

Murray is the first player from the 2016 NBA Draft class to agree to an extension.
