Knicks And Bucks Were Close On Randolph Trade?

The Knicks and Bucks had serious discussions about a trade on Thursday.

Zach Randolph and guard Fred Jones would have gone to Milwaukee in exchange for guard Charlie Bell, forward Bobby Simmons, and center Dan Gadzuric, according to a league source.

As New York and Milwaukee continue to try to hammer out a deal involving Zach Randolph, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reports that it is not the first time the two teams have talked trade this season.

According to Isola, the teams have tried to orchestrate several trades this season, including one that would have featured Stephon Marbury.

Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks are in serious trade discussions with both Milwaukee and Denver, trying to send Zach Randolph away from the Big Apple, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News writes.

While the Bucks have rejected a package which would have included Randolph, Fred Jones and Jared Jeffries for a package Bobby Simmons, Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric, the Knicks are considering a deal with the Nuggets which includes Nene.

Yao-Yi Matchup To Reach 200 Million

Saturday night's matchup between the Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks will be watched by more than 200 million people, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The second matchup between Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian, two of the NBA's most popular Chinese imports, has attracted numerous members of the Asian media.

"I look at it almost as the Chinese Super Bowl," Bucks' Coach Larry Krystkowiak told the Journal-Sentinel. "Then we'll have the American version of the Super Bowl the next night which will be watched by about half as many people."

"In the course of one weekend, we've got a lot of spectators. It means a lot to Yi and Yao and the NBA."

Bucks Recall Ramon Sessions From Tulsa

The Milwaukee Bucks have recalled guard Ramon Sessions from the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League (D-League), General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Sessions was assigned to the D-League on November 8, 2007.
 
Sessions appeared in 24 games (17 starts) with Tulsa, averaging a team-high 21.1 points (6th in the D-League), a team-high 7.6 assists (3rd in the D-League), and 6.5 rebounds (19th in the D-League) in 36.2 minutes per contest. His points, rebounds, and assists add up to 35.2 per game, eighth in the league. Sessions is the only player to be named the D-League Performer of the Week twice this season, claiming the award on November 26, 2007, and January 28, 2008.
