Jonathan Isaac Undergoes Procedure On Hamstring

Mar 22, 2022 10:35 AM

Jonathan Isaac suffered a minor right hamstring injury during rehabilitation and has undergone a small surgical procedure, President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced.

“Obviously, this was unexpected,” said Weltman. “No one will work harder than Jonathan in the goal to return for the start of next season.”

Isaac was ruled out for the remainder of the 2021-22 season last week (Mar. 15).

Isaac (6’10”, 230, 10/3/97) missed the entire 2020-21 season due to a torn left anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that was suffered on Aug. 2, 2020 vs. Sacramento during the NBA restart at Disney. He was also sidelined for 39 games during the 2019-20 campaign due to injuries as well.

Jonathan Isaac To Remain Out For Remainder of Season

Mar 15, 2022 9:56 AM

The Orlando Magic announced that forward Jonathan Isaac will miss the entirety of the 2021-22 season. Isaac has been working towards a return, but has now been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Isaac did not play during the 2020-21 season either. He's been out since suffering multiple knee injuries on August 2, 2020. Isaac was injured while going up for a shot against the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Bubble at Walt Disney World during the resumed 2020 season.

Isaac was thought to be lost for the year during the 2019-20 season when he suffered a knee injury on January 1, 2020. The pause of that season allowed Isaac to get back on the floor when play resumed that summer. It was in his second game in the bubble that he tore his left ACL and meniscus, which has kept out since.
