Damian Lillard underwent surgery on an abdominal injury six weeks ago. The Portland Trail Blazers say their star guard has progressed through the initial phase of rehab without any setbacks.

Portland added that Lillard will now move to the reconditioning phase of his rehab process. Lillard will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks.

Lillard last played on December 31. He said that advice during the Olympics from Jrue Holiday, who had a similar abdominal injury, convinced him to have the surgery. Lillard said the injury had bothered him on-and-off for nearly seven years.

When the Portland Trail Blazers traded C.J. McCollum and Norman Powell at the trade deadline, it was assumed that decisions was in part driven by Anfernee Simons' bright future for the Blazers. Despite Simons being a pending restricted free agent, he feels the same way about his future in Portland.

“I 100% want to stay in Portland,” Simons said of his upcoming free agency. “And I think everybody wants me to stay as well. I think it’s a perfect fit for me.”

In his fourth year, Simons has had a breakout season for the Blazers. He's averaged career-highs nearly across the board. Simons has scored 17.1 points on 45/40/89 shooting splits. He's also put up 3.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, which are both career-bests.

Joe Ingles underwent successful anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery on his left knee on Wednesday morning.  

The procedure was performed by Dr. Brian Cole at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Munster, Indiana. Ingles will begin rehabilitation this week and is expected to make a full recovery.  

Portland acquired Ingles from Utah on February 9. In his eighth NBA season, Ingles averaged 7.2 points (40.4% FG, 34.7% 3-PT, 77.3% FT), 2.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 45 games (15 starts) for the Jazz before suffering a torn ACL in his left knee at Minnesota on January 30.

Jusuf Nurkic will be out at least four weeks with left foot plantar fasciitis.

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a two-year, Two-Way contract with Brandon Williams.

Williams has appeared in two games this season while with the Blazers on a 10-day contract. 

In 23 G League games this season, Williams is averaging 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 32.2 minutes. 

Williams is represented by Sam Goldfeder, who also represents CJ McCollum.

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to sign Drew Eubanks to a 10-day contract.

Eubanks was waived by the Toronto Raptors after his deadline trade from the San Antonio Spurs.

Eubanks has appeared in 49 games this season, averaging 4.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.1 minutes.
