The San Antonio Spurs have waived guard Tomas Satoransky. Satoransky will sign with the Washington Wizards once he clears waivers.

Satoranský appeared in one game with the Spurs. He was acquired from Portland, along with a 2027 second round pick from Utah, in a three-team deal with the Trail Blazers and Jazz on Feb. 9.

When the San Antonio Spurs acquired Goran Dragic at last week's trade deadline, it was expected the veteran's stay in San Antonio would be a short one. Less than a week after the deadline, the Spurs and Dragic have agreed to a contract buyout.

Multiple teams are expected to pursue Dragic's services when he clears waivers. He's been linked to several playoff contenders, most recently the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.

Dragic played in just five games for the Toronto Raptors this season, after being a part of the sign-and-trade that sent Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat. In his last full season with the Heat, Dragic averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 assists in 26.7 minutes per game, mostly off of Miami's bench.

The San Antonio Spurs acquired Goran Dragic and a protected 2022 first-round pick from the Toronto Raptors for Thaddeus Young and a 2022 second-round pick. But it seems like Dragic's time in San Antonio will be short-lived. The veteran guard and the Spurs are expected to negotiation a buyout.

Dragic is finishing out the final year of his contract with $19.4 million owed to him for this season. The Spurs will likely look to reduce that number in exchange for allowing Dragic to join a contender.

The list of teams expected to have interest in Dragic include the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks. The long-time point guard should have his pick of teams, as he'll catch on for a 2022 playoff run.

The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Josh Richardson and Romeo Langford and a first round pick to the San Antonio Spurs for Derrick White.

The pick is protected 1-4 in 2022. The Spurs will also receive a pick swap with the Celtics in 2028. 

White signed a four-year, $73 million extension with the Spurs during the 2020 offseason. White has averaged 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 30.3 minutes per game this season.

The Toronto Raptors have agreed to trade Goran Dragic and a first round pick to the San Antonio Spurs for Thad Young, Drew Eubanks and a 2022 second round pick via the Detroit Pistons.

The 2022 first rounder is protected 1-14 in 2022, 1-13 in 2023 and then convert to two second rounders.

Both Dragic and Young were traded last offseason as part of sign-and-trades.

Dragic played in just five games for the Raptors this season before being allowed to train away from the team. Dragic is expected to be bought out by the Spurs with the Dallas Mavericks the leading candidate to sign him.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to bolster their roster for a playoff push. That pursuit has them looking at veteran big man Thaddeus Young.

The Wolves have offered Taurean Prince and his expiring $13 million deal for Young. The San Antonio Spurs are holding out for now, in hopes of a better return.

Young has expressed his desire to play for a contender. He was candid about understanding he's not a fit for the rebuilding Spurs. Young has appeared in only 26 games this season and is averaging just 14.2 minutes per game.

If Prince was traded to San Antonio, he would reportedly seek a buyout. That's the same course Young will take, if he's not traded by Thursday's deadline.

LaMelo Ball and Dejounte Murray have been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver as injury replacements for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.  Ball will replace Kevin Durant and Murray will replace Draymond Green. 

In addition, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, who was selected as an All-Star reserve, will replace Durant as a starter.

Ball, the 2020-21 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, has earned his first NBA All-Star selection.  In his second NBA season, Ball is averaging 19.6 points, 7.5 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 1.47 steals in 47 games.  

This is also the first NBA All-Star selection for Murray, who is in his fifth NBA season.  He is averaging career highs of 19.6 points, 9.2 assists, 8.4 rebounds and 2.06 steals in 47 games.

The San Antonio Spurs have already made one in-season trade, which is more than they usually do. Many expect the Spurs to make another by sending Thaddeus Young elsewhere, but the market has been fairly quiet for the veteran big man.

Young was acquired by San Antonio in the sign-and-trade that sent DeMar DeRozan to the Chicago Bulls this past summer. Since then, Young has played a limited role for the Spurs. He's played just 14.2 minutes per game over 26 contests.

Young's expiring $14.2 million deal is seen as an acquirable contract for contenders that are looking for frontcourt help. Several teams had previously been linked to Young, but now it seems things have gone quiet four days before the trade deadline.

The San Antonio Spurs are seeking a future first round pick and a quality player in exchange for Jakob Poeltl, sources tell Marc Stein of Substack.

The Chicago Bulls have joined the Toronto Raptors with interest in trading for Poeltl.

Poell is in Year 2 of a three-year, $26.3 million contract.
