Dante Exum should get a lot of minutes for Australia in the World Cup of Basketball next month.

The Utah Jazz see the tournament as a great opportunity for their first round pick.

"We’ve had a lot of players ... that have used the national team to help develop their game as young players," Dennis Lindsey said. "We think this is ideal for Dante, who hasn’t had a lot of experience playing against men and certainly men that are much older and much more experienced. We think the national team during the early portion of his career will be very critical to his development."

Lindsey added, "The Australian Basketball Federation is excellent, very well coached. We’re really looking forward to him learning. We see this as a real win."

The Utah Jazz will trade John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Carrick Felix, a future second round pick and $1 million in cash.

The Cavaliers have been searching for non-guaranteed contracts in order to flip them to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a deal involving Kevin Love.

The Wolves are seeking cap relief along with Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in exchange for Love.

The Utah Jazz have expressed interest in signing Toure' Murry, according to a source.

Murry is reportedly also waiting to see whether a deal will form with the Miami Heat.

Murry played for the New York Knicks last season.

Trevor Booker has agreed upon a deal with the Utah Jazz.

Booker averaged 21.6 minutes in 72 games (45 starts) last season with the Washington Wizards, averaging 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Booker was the 23rd overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the deal is worth $10 million over two seasons.

Marvin Williams has agreed upon a two-year, $14 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

Williams played collegiately a few hours away at North Carolina.

Williams was most recently with the Utah Jazz.

The Hornets turned their attention upon Williams after the Jazz matched their offer sheet to Gordon Hayward.

The Utah Jazz have notified the Charlotte Hornets that they have matched the four-year, $63 million max contract offer sheet signed by Gordon Hayward.

The contract includes a player option for the fourth year and a 15 percent trade kicker, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Utah and Hayward had been unable to reach agreement on a contract last fall.

Gordon Hayward has agreed to a four-year, $63 million max offer sheet with the Charlotte Hornets.

Hayward is a restricted free agent, giving the Utah Jazz the ability to match.

Hayward also received interest in free agency from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns.

Pat Riley met with Marvin Williams in North Carolina on Saturday.

Williams is a target for the Miami Heat to improve their wing depth.

Williams played with the Utah Jazz over the past two seasons with a PER of 14.0 in 13-14.

The Toronto Raptors have traded Steve Novak to the Utah Jazz.

Along with Novak and the two years and $7.2 million left on his contract, the Raptors will send a future second-round draft pick to Utah, sources said. 

The Jazz will send the Raptors Diante Garrett, who, with a $915,000 non-guaranteed deal for this season, will be waived, sources said.

Novak was acquired last offseason by the Raptors from the New York Knicks.
