The Detroit Pistons have waived Zhaire Smith.

The Philadelphia 76ers traded Smith to the Pistons this offseason for Tony Bradley.

Smith was the 16th overall pick by the 76ers in 2018, but he has played sparingly following a foot fracture and a severe allergic reaction to sesame. 

The Detroit Pistons made "an exploratory call" to the Washington Wizards in recent weeks to discuss a potential trade of Blake Griffin for John Wall, sources tell Zach Lowe of ESPN.

Those talks didn't go anywhere and Detroit's level of interest is unclear. The Pistons continue to value Griffin.

Tommy Sheppard of the Wizards maintained this week that they don't have interest in trading Wall.

Wall is signed for one more season than Griffin, suggesting the Pistons would likely ask for draft assets in any trade.

Wall has also been linked with a trade to the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook.

Wayne Ellington has agreed to sign a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Detroit Pistons.

Ellington spent last season with the New York Knicks. Ellington finished the 18-19 season with the Pistons.

Langston Galloway has agreed to a contract with the Phoenix Suns.

Galloway signed a three-year, $21 million deal with the Detroit Pistons in 2017.

The Denver Nuggets acquired a $9.5 million trade exception from the Detroit Pistons as part of a Jerami Grant sign-and-trade. The TPE is less than Grant's salary because of Base Year Compensation. 

The Pistons acquired the draft rights to Nikola Radicevic.

Denver also received cash considerations. The Nuggets will have the exception next offseason.

Bradley averaged 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds last season. 

The Detroit Pistons will waive and stretch Dewayne Dedmon in order to create cap space to sign their targeted free agents.

Dedmon will become a free agent once he clears waivers.

The Pistons have reached agreements on the opening night of free agency with Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee and Jahill Okafor.

This is the first offseason since the Pistons hired Troy Weaver.

Christian Wood has agreed to a three-year, $41 million deal with the Houston Rockets. The deal is expected to be consummated via sign-and-trade.

A previous report indicated Wood was close to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Rockets.

Wood averaged 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game in a breakout season for the Pistons in 19-20.

Jerami Grant has agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal with the Detroit Pistons.

The Denver Nuggets reportedly offered the same amount of money to Grant as the Pistons, per Mike Singer of the Denver Post.

The Nuggets traded a first round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Grant last offseason.

Christian Wood is close to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Houston Rockets, per Frank Isola. Shams Charania of The Athletic later reported Wood remains engaged with interested teams.

Wood had a breakout season with the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons signed Mason Plumlee to a three-year, $25 million deal in free agency.

Houston made a series of moves in order to put their mid-level exception in play.
