Jennings Wants To Play In Europe If There's A Lockout

Nov 20, 2010 10:09 AM

Bucks guard Brandon Jennings wants to play in Europe if there's a lockout in the NBA next season.

Jennings spent a year playing in Italy prior to being drafted by Milwaukee in 2009.

"Teams are asking the NBA legal minds for direction on whether players are allowed to sign overseas during the lockout, a very complicated matter that won't be settled anytime soon but internally is already being closely watched as an important issue," writes Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com.

Douglas-Roberts Nearly Lost Vision In Right Eye

Nov 13, 2010 4:27 PM

Bucks swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts will return to the floor within the next month, but he'll have to wear protective goggles for the remainder of his career.

What seemed like an innocent poke in the eye during practice turned out to be a torn retina and doctors told Douglas-Roberts that he could have lost vision in his right eye had he not had it treated when he did.

"I still have some blurred vision and I still see the floaters a little, but it's much better than it was because I couldn't see anything (out of the right eye) for a week," he said.

"It was very overwhelming," Douglas-Roberts said of the cryotherapy procedure to repair the retina. "I went in expecting to get some eyedrops. They put a lens in my eye and looked all around it and that took about six minutes.

"When they took the lens out, all of the nurses and doctors were walking out of the office looking really worried. So I'm just sitting there like, 'What's going on?'

"Then the nurse took me in the room and drew everything out, 'OK, you have a huge tear in the retina.' They said it was good they caught it early. They had to put a needle in my eye, and that was the worst.

"They froze the tear. It was the most painful thing ever."

Jennings: Bucks Aren't On Same Page

Nov 7, 2010 9:47 AM

The Bucks fell to 2-5 following a loss to the Hornets on Saturday night and guard Brandon Jennings hinted that there may be problems in the locker room.

"We just need to go out there and play basketball," Jennings said. "Anybody can talk in the locker room."

Milwaukee looked sluggish for a majority of the game and Jennings said his team could have used some of the Hornets' energy.

"It was just an ugly game for us," he said. "It's starting to get a little bit ridiculous now because every day it's like it's something -- shots not falling and we just all break down. Some people are probably not on the same page, or I don't know what it is, but it's getting a little bit annoying now.

"When things aren't going right, it just seems like the energy level goes all the way down. We have got to find something before it gets too late and it gets a little ugly."
