Giannis Antetokounmpo is perhaps an unprecedented talent when it comes to his length and quickness moving up the floor.

Antetokounmpo covers an average distance of just over 15 feet when driving in for a layup or dunk off just one dribble, according to an analysis run by STATS SportVu at FiveThirtyEight’s request. The average player covers just 10.8 feet on similar plays, which is a difference of 32.6 percent.

Antetokounmpo is averaging 36.8 points, 10.8 boards and 5.3 assists per game heading into Thursday’s matchup with Boston. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 1.

Antetokounmpo averaged 38.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game with a True Shooting Percentage of .709.

Harden averaged 27.7 points, 9.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks are amongst the teams that have expressed interest in trading for Eric Bledsoe.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the New York Knicks also have interest.

Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports the Denver Nuggets have held discussions with the Suns and are building a package centered on Emmanuel Mudiay.

Ryan McDonough has publicly confirmed that the Suns intend to trade Bledsoe.

"We’re getting a lot of calls and I’ll return some of those calls when I’m done with you guys," McDonough said.

"This is a turning of the page. We're just trying to change the culture and building a foundation for long-term success."

The Milwaukee Bucks will sign Joel Bolomboy to a two-way deal.

Bolomboy played 12 games with the Utah Jazz last season.

Bolomboy was waived by the Jazz at the end of the preseason.

Bolomboy was expected to the be the top pick in the G-League draft.

The Milwaukee Bucks hired Jon Horst as general manager after their ownership group was unable to agree upon elevating Justin Zanik.

Marc Lasry wanted to elevate Zanik when John Hammond left as they initially planned. But Wesley Edens exercised his veto power.

Horst was described as a "reluctant compromise" by one Bucks' insider.

Multiple agents and executives expressed concern about the way ownership has managed its in-house relationships during its short tenure.

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Gary Payton II to a Two-Way contract. 

Payton II, 24, originally signed with Milwaukee on April 2 and played in six games during the 2016-17 season where he averaged 3.3 points, 2.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds. 

Payton appeared in four preseason games and averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Richard Jefferson has agreed upon a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets will likely waive Jameer Nelson to create a roster spot for Jefferson.

Josh Kroenke enjoys a strong friendship with Jefferson. The Nuggets feel Jefferson will give them depth at small forward and also be a strong veteran presence.

Jefferson averaged 20 minutes per game last season.

The Milwaukee Bucks also pursued Jefferson.

The Milwaukee Bucks have claimed DeAndre Liggins off waivers.

Liggins was waived by the Miami Heat. Since the end of last season, Liggins has been on the rosters of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Heat and now the Bucks.

The Denver Nuggets have expressed interest in signing Richard Jefferson.

Jefferson has also received interest from the Milwaukee Bucks, who have been the most aggressive team.

Jefferson will become a free agent Monday afternoon as he was released by the Atlanta Hawks over the weekend.

Josh Kroenke enjoys a strong friendship with Jefferson.

The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, acquired the returning player rights to Xavier Munford in a trade with the Greensboro Swarm. The Herd also received Greensboro’s second round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft in exchange for the team’s first round selections in 2017 and 2018. 

“Xavier has competed at the highest levels of professional basketball in the NBA, NBA G League and internationally,” said Herd General Manager Dave Dean. “After working with Xavier throughout Bucks training camp, we see untapped potential and could not be more excited to add the former NBA G League All-Star to the Herd roster.”

Munford, 25, was a member of the 2017 USA AmeriCup Team that finished 5-0 and won the gold medal in Argentina. He averaged 10.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
